1960 Mercedes Benz 190SL Roadster Purchased new from Keith Ware Studebaker-Packard-Mercedes Benz on April 15th, 1960 by Mr. Ellis of Kansas City, Mo. and remained with him for 55 years until April 15th, 2015 when I purchased this Rare beauty. All numbers matching! With only a total of 3977 produced for the world in 1960 I wonder how many are left in this condition. Here is a very rare one owner low mile all numbers matching 190Sl. This is a very fine example of very original 190SL The interior is very nice and original all the seats, dash and carpets are in very nice condition. The door panels are original and show a little patina but held up well for being 56 years old. All the gauges are in fantastic shape and all work. The horn, lights, radio, wipers etc all work perfect. The exterior paint code DB 334 Hellblau (light blue) looks amazing. It was painted once to a very high standard 15 years ago and still looks fantastic today. The body was completely stripped to bare metal and meticulously disassembled and reassembled the fit and finish is amazing. All the panels are original. The doors, hood and trunk and all shut and fit perfect. All five wheels are date stamped and original to this car. Wow what a find. All in all these early MB 190SL Roadsters are getting harder and harder to find in this condition. These are highly collectible and a huge appreciating asset (like money in the bank).
