CAR DESCRIPTION Car This is my 2000 Chevy Tahoe LS with 4x4 and automatic transmission. 5.3L V8 with towing package and premium ride suspension. This is the first year of the new body style (2000-2007) and while the badging says LS, it has just about every conceivable LT feature including leather seats, dual power seats, leather steering wheel, premium ride suspension, power moonroof, power windows, hitch, towing package, A/C and rear A/C running boards, cruise control, homelink garage door opener, carpeted floor mats, etc. I am the second owner and purchased the car through eBay on August 20, 2002 (the CarFax is wrong about three owners. I bought the car on eBay and have had it in CA, FL and now back in CA). It has been well maintained over the years and has been a great vehicle. We have reached the child stage of our lives where we really need a third row of seats so this vehicle is for sale.I did a quick drive with a video which is posted below. The car still has good acceleration, good power and stops well. The engine makes a faint tapping noise when it is cold but it goes away pretty quickly. The milage is 159,560 as of this posting. I may drive the car a few times before the auction ends so the milage should be below 159.999 when you pick up. Truck has a tow package with trailer hitch (ball mount not included). 7-lead wire harness connector and I have the adaptor which I will include. I have both remote entry fobs and two keys - both work. Owners manual is included. CALIFORNIA REGISTRATION & SMOGI just renewed the California registration. It is good for the next year. I will include the new sticker if it has arrived. If not, I can mail to you. The car was also smogged on January 14, 2015. I think the next smog check is January 2017. RECENT REPAIRS TRANSMISSION - The transmission was completely rebuilt in 2012 at AAMCO (Kissimmee FL). The truck had 120,655 miles at the time so the new transmission has about 35,000 miles on it. SPARK PLUGS & WIRES - Car was missing and why I pulled the listing last week. Diagnosed and repaired with all new on 1/14/2016. HEATER - Car was not generating heat and why I pulled listing last week. Diagnosed and repaired on 1/14/2016 - new thermostat and fan clutch. TIRES - Michelin X-Radil LT2 All Season 70,000 warranty. P265/70R16. They were installed at 150,262 so about 10,000 miles on them. The treads all look almost new. BATTERY - Interstate battery replaced January 2015 (dated 12/2014). AIR CONDITIONING - The system was overhauled in July 2015. The rear blower fan was replaced in 2012. BRAKES - Inspected and full fluid change at 152,731 OTHER - we have regularly changed the oil and maintained this vehicle. ITEMS THAT NEED ATTENTION EXTERIOR:PAINT - as you can probably see in the pictures, the paint clear coat is failing. The biggest problem is on the hood but there are also some sections on the roof and on the sides. There are quite a few scratches across the vehicle, some more significant than others. But there are no major dents or dings on the car.BUMPER - the front bumper has seen a little action. A car pulled the front right side out in a parking lot and never left a note. We hit the left side on a concrete post. The plastic transition between the bumper and the grill is a little bent and cosmetically you should be able to see what I'm referencing in the pictures. But the car was inspected and airbag sensors are all fine. GLASS - the windshield has a few chips but nothing has spidered over the years. WIND DEFLECTORS - I had wind deflectors on all four windows but the driver side plastic failed. I removed them but never got the adhesive fully removed. FOG LIGHTS - the driver side fog light is out. Probably needs bulb replacement. The passenger side works but has no lens. LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS - both lights are out. One of the light covers is broken (look at pictures). INTERIOR: LEATHER - the leather on the driver seat is starting to really wear by the left hip area. There are also some areas of wear on the second row of seating. The most notable problem is the right driver armrest which is heavily cracked (See pictures). RADIO - AM/FM Cassette and CD all work well. But the speakers probably could be replaced. I can see one of the speakers in the front passenger door has come loose. The sound is okay with digital (CD or MP3 through the cassette player) but radio sounds really tin-ey (listen to video). CARGO MAT - there is a cargo mat in the rear of the car. It is carpeted on one side and rubber on the other. The pictures show the rubber which is pretty good. But I spilled chlorine on the carpet side in FL and it burned a lot of the carpet to the pad. The carpet affixed to the car is pretty good but there is a spot where the chlorine hit the carpet. DASH LIGHTS - the dashboard lights are all working but there are a few buttons on the radio that don't light up.
