I am selling my 1996 Mercedes Benz E 300 Diesel Non-Turbo. This was my daily driver until I bought Audi Q7. I've had it for almost 3 years and it has served me really good without any major problems. It only has 158K miles, this is considered low mileage for the year and the most famous 3.0 L 5 cylinder Diesel Engine Mercedes built. Most of them, usually newer model are selling with over 200K miles. This car is ready for another 150K miles easily. The motor runs strong and has no issues starting even in 10 Degrees weather here in Vermont. Transmission shifts smoothly without any issues. I will try to list all the features, the good and the bad things with it since I know the condition of the vehicle really good. Recent Work: Engine : New Fuel Filter and O-rings, replaced about 500 miles agoRemoved and cleaned manifold due to poor MPG and smoke at higher RPM's, after cleaning the manifold to almost like new condition, MPG increased and no longer smokes at higher RPM's, this is a common problem with diesel engines and standard maintenance practice to keep the engine running healthy.New Manifold GasketNew breather tubes and elbows Steering & Suspension:New front right control arm and ball jointWheel Alignment just completed Tires and brakes have plenty life left in them Items requiring attention:Sunroof is inoperative (Off track possibly?) It's closed shut and does not leak.Right rear electric window is not working.Drivers side mirror is loose, attached but loose. Currently taped with black tape, works great not an issue for me personally.Turn signal lever is sometimes acting up and turning high beams on. 2 out of 10 times.Mercedes hood sign is missing.Drivers seat does not recline, it moves forward and aft without any problems Body Condition:Overall the body is in great condition, however there is a small rust spot on the front right fender, and that is all the rust on the whole car.Rear fender has four scratches and a small tear (as shown in the photo)Front fender has couple small scratches also shown on the photo. Interior Condition:Wood trim, leather seats are all in great condition without cracks or cuts.Shifter is missing small Mercedes logo I have describe the condition of this vehicle the best I could, and everything you see listed in this add is what the current condition is, no hidden issues or problems.
