If you want to pay $4,500 for some other older Camaro then you might as well get a loan for at least another $4,500 for body work and paint alone never mind the powertrain. I bought this car from a coworker who didn't have the free time needed and couldn't finish the Camaro. I am a mechanic and had the time for a fall/winter project. I cleaned up and rebuilt the motor and put the car back together. The greatest thing about this Camaro is NO BODYWORK NEEDED! You wont have to worry about the suspension busting through the trunk. All that would be left is repair the transmission leak and bleed the brakes and you can start going to car shows! This is a 1978 Camaro Type LT with correct 305 engine and TH350 transmission. Odometer reading is not correct due to the motor rebuild. Power Steering, power door locks, and power windows. Power assist brake booster, front disc brakes and rear drums. Brakes need to be bled before driving. The car was cleaned to bare metal with frame off then painted gloss black around 10 years ago and is in excellent condition. Car always stored inside. NO RUST on frame or body. Original motor was professionally rebuilt last summer. Replaced piston rings, lifters and camshaft. Installed motor gasket/seal kit. Installed a mild lift Comp Cam camshaft. It has an Edelbrock performance intake manifold and 600 CFM carburetor. Long tube headers also installed. Original TH350 transmission. All gear selections work. Transmission might hesitate shifting up to 2nd. Transmission leaks some. Interior is in very good condition. New carpet and headliner. The seats currently have new cloth pull over covers. Gauges work except for tachometer. I may have not mentioned every imperfection but it would not take much to be completely finished and show quality. By being a solid frame and body car with a solid running motor, you wont have any high cost items to purchase. I have clean title to the car in hand.
