Vehicle Detail

It is a Cummins Turbo Diesel with the heavy duty Asin automatic transmission. A/C, AM/FM/XM/Sirrius/CD. Pintle hook and 2 1/2 ball for towing. Tires at 60% front/70+% in rear (no plugs in any, truck does not do landfill runs). You cannot find a better example of a used dump truck. Runs, rides and drives like it is new because is nearly is - there is 20,700 miles on it and it is still in use so the amount will continue to go up slightly. No dings or scratches of any significance. All maintenance records available. We use it "in house" in a construction business. If you are out of the area (southern NJ), you can fly into either Philly or Atlantic City and I will pick you up at the airport. If you buy it, I will deliver it as long as you pay fuel and tolls. If you have any questions or concerns, you can call my cell, 609-271-3621. If you are out of the area and wish to have it looked over by a dealer to certify its condition, I will accommodate that as well. Just got a call and here were the answers I gave: Why are you selling it? We do not have enough use for it. Right now, all it is being used for is moving a Kubota L35 between jobs and moving the tool trailer between jobs and picking up landscaping materials. Our needs would be better suited with another pick-up. Is it set for a plow? NO. It is two wheel drive and has never been set up for a plow. It have never even been driven in snow since we owned it (2013). It does have the engine block heater. Could it plow? Sure. It weighs around 5 tons and has enough power to pull down a house. Unless you plow snow drifts in Canada, you should be fine. If you are doing parking lots in the Philly suburbs, this will easily do the job. When was the last service? The last service was on December 15 when we did an oil change (Synthetic Rotella T - always - one of our trucks have over 300k on it and all have gone over 220k). We always use Optimax in the fuel as well. We take care of our things and they take care of us very well. What kind of mileage does it get? Odd question for a dump truck. It gets about 12-15 around town depending on what you are carrying or towing. When we picked up our equipment trailer in NC, it averaged over 18 mpg on the highway, which is better than most of the pick-ups and SUVs we have. Got an email: Hi, > > I'm interested in the dump truck however the vehicle history says it> has a salvage title. Do you have any information regarding this? > Here is what we know: The chassis cab was originally sold to a towing company on the Blue Ridge Parkway (in Virginia ?) and built as a flat bed tower. (I know this from the window sticker and sale docs we got with it) At 2,400 miles +/- (less than 3 weeks in use) it was hit in the back. Insurance totaled it even though the main part of the truck or chassis was fine. It was then sold at auction and an autobody place that the damaged part of the frame off. Rather than weld the extended frame back on which is needed to mount the over-the-road flat bed, they instead mounted a 9 ft. dump body. (I got this from the dealer where we purchased it). We bought it in 2013 with 2,500+/- miles on it and have used it the 18 months or so since. We have not had any issues with it relating to eating tires or anything else you would see with frame damage. The only service work has been routine maintenance (air, oil & fuel filter changes), a turbo seal done under warranty and a steering knuckle done under warranty. (This was a recall item). Got another call: Because of the history you describe, will you take $25,000?Answer: If you are willing to offer $25,000 sight unseen, that tells me you are not concerned about the title status either. If you like this truck at $25,000, you will like it at $30,000. Anyone who has ever owned heavy equipment and filed an insurance claim about it knows they rarely fix anything because the dealer labor rates are insane. It was cheaper for them to sell the truck damaged at auction for $25k than to get frame extensions and a rollback flatbed put back on. The truck itself was so unaffected by the incident that Chrysler/Dodge/RAM still honored the warranty - EVEN AS TO SUSPENSION PARTS. So the long answer is above, the short answer is "no". People buy these trucks to work and this works perfectly as a dump truck. We got a good deal when we bought in 2013 with 2,500 miles. Someone else will get an even better deal buying it in 2015 for $30k. Before anyone else calls with an offer below the asking price, come see it. A bare chassis cab new costs $55k. Conversion to a mason dump is another $7-9k. This truck has it all and just under 21,000 miles. FOR LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE. Look around on eBay. What do you see - bare chassis and engine with 150k miles - $30K, bare chassis with 55k mile - $35k, 2008 Mason Dump, 150k miles - $30k. Plus I am not some shuck-and-jive dealer. My ass has been in the driver's seat and my money has gone into buying and maintaining it. I see this truck everyday and we use it constantly. Come see it, use it, drive it. I have no doubt the last call was from a dealer who was only going to re-sell it. Got two emails overnight:Will you consider selling the engine?Answer: You buy the truck, cut the engine out if you want and deal with the rest of it. Who wants a dump truck without a motor? What is with the back of the truck?Answer: There are two things you could be talking about. One, there is dent in the middle panel. It was banged with a tree stump while loading. It looks way worse in the picture than in real life. Two, on the hitch plate, that is an Eagles sticker that my business partner put there. The Eagles may suck, but the truck does not. It will be removed at the time of sale. Got another email overnight:nice truck , what is the towing of this truckAnswer: 18,300 lbs as per ramtrucks.com
