Vehicle Detail
I love this car! She isn't the fastest around, but has never failed to start even in the coldest winters. All power windows and the sunroof work. The clutch is good and she shifts and drives nicely. All of the "old car stuff" that i am aware of are: The low side AC hose split a while back, and i have the new part, but never got around to replacing it. The compressor is relatively new and the AC system had worked prior to the hose breaking. The vacuum pump is wearing out and comes and goes, as does the break boost, locks and engine shut off if there is no vacuum. I have the OEM pump rebuild kit, but never found the time to work on it. The interior ac/heat blower motor switch doesn't turn, so the fan doesn't come on. She's rusty on the underside. I had part of the floor on the driver's side and passenger's side fender replaced a little while back, but the gas pedal mount rusted, but it's fine to drive with the post. I have the pedal and it comes with the car. The tires are old and should be replaced. The air filter bracket is broken (like most of these old diesels) and makes a rattle/banging sound on high gear, full acceleration. She could use a good wax and cleaning. I'm not driving the car and I hate to see her sit around, when she could be making someone happy. I've taken pics of the rusty places, but if you have any questions, please send me an email and I'll answer them as quickly as I can.
