They are out there, and trust me, there is nothing more expensive on this earth than a cheap S65 Mercedes. Some of these cars have been neglected, leak, have faulty ABC suspensions, rattle, and generally need expensive repairs and have not been serviced or inspected by an authorized MB dealer. Not this one! It’s been serviced to within an inch of its life, and inspected twice in the last two weeks including a full pre-purchase inspection at an authorized MB dealer. It needs nothing and is in great shape cosmetically and mechanically. And if bidding goes over $24K I will include a bunch of extra goodies! Please read on to find out more. Here's the deal: -- *** NO RESERVE *** It's a 2006 S65 V12 twin-turbo sedan in 744 brilliant silver over 581 charcoal perforated leather, burl root wood trim, and charcoal carpets with alcantara headliner. It has only 75,xxx documented original miles, looks like a million bucks, and drives like a million bucks too! *** NO RESERVE ***– -- Exterior 9 out of 10 (I'm finicky) - Fantastic overall condition paint, body, glass, and trim. Hardly a ding, dent, or scuff anywhere. This car looks amazing, with a deep shine to the silver paint that's like looking into a mirror. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage! -- -- This car wears all its original body panels and paint, and the front bumper, leading edge of hood, headlight lenses, a-pillars, and rockers/lower rear bumper cover have been protects by a clear bra since new! While the bra is showing its age with spiderwebbing from age/heat, once peeled off, the paint underneath will be LIKE NEW, with no rock chips or wear of any kind. Even the lower side-body moldings are in great shape. Chrome, rubber, glass, trim is all excellent. No oxidation, fade, wear, rust, etc. Headlights and windshield are clear and do not have ‘road-rash’.-- -- Look at the body panels.....they are perfectly straight. -- -- The wheels are 19” authentic AMG five-spokes. They are in excellent overall condition with no bends or curb rash. IF bidding reaches over $24K, I will install a new set of staggered performance tires, 245/40/19 in front and 275/35/19 in back. The car drives straight as an arrow at any speed you choose. -- -- Interior 9 out of 10 - The charcoal leather interior overall including all seating and door leather, seat padding, dash, console, and carpets are in great all-original condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, very little wear of any kind on the leather (driver’s bolster shows nearly zero wear after 9 years!). Everything looks great; you can barely tell anyone has been in the car. No smoking ever. -- -- The door panels and trim are also in great shape, like the rest of the car (LR door panel needs ashtray wood trim replaced). -- -- Even the headliner, trunk, and spare are perfect. -- -- This S65 is loaded including full hand-stitched leather doors and dash, heated/cooled/dynamic front seats, heated/electric rear seats, trunk closer, parktronic, keyless go, AMG sport package, CD changer, COMAND navigation, moonroof, power rear shade, rear-side shades, bi-xenon headlights, and more. -- -- The main reason this S65 slays all the other ones out there? Four words….MECHANICAL AND COSMETIC CONDITION. I have all the MB dealer service records, and it’s got two current inspections as well! Fresh Mobil 1 oil change, new ABC pump, and more. And in its history it has had antenna booster module, ignition coil pack, 24 spark plugs, engine V-belt, ABC hydraulic line, A and B routine maintenance services with Mobil 1 oil changes, hood struts, and much much more. That’s THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars, all done already. That’s money YOU won’t have to spend. -- -- Let me address the buyback title from MB; this car was bought back by Mercedes in 2007 because (are you ready?) the car's brake squealed when stopping. I swear to god that's true, and you can check for yourself. Mercedes refunded $170,000+ because the high-performance AMG two-piece floating front rotors and pads squealed when coming to a stop. The dealer tried to fix it three times without replacing everything (due to cost) and failed, so the lemon-law was invoked by an attorney and the car was repurchased by MB. OHMYGOD, talk about finicky. The car has been on the road since 2007 performing perfectly, and has been serviced extensively. And what happened to the 'defective' noisy brakes? All new pads and rotors were installed recently at a cost of over $3000, and they are SILENT. Their $175K loss, your $24K gain! -- -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory, and power mirrors work perfectly. Headrest motors, vacuum lock system, etc. all operating properly. The HVAC system is fast to respond, and perfect with hot heat and ice-cold A/C. -- --Mechanically 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. With 604HP and 725+ ft/LBS of torque, you have enough to destroy a Ferrari on the road or pull a tree stump out of the ground. Transmission is smooth yet aggressive, and downshifts eagerly with lightning fast positive engagement shifts. The car runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks. Just remember; with this much power on tap, you might need to replace the rear tires sooner than you realize! -- -- Engine is strong and VERY eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to drop down two gears at your command to rocket you past slower traffic. When you floor the throttle in this car, you’d better be prepared to arrive where the car is pointing RIGHT NOW. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. Suspension is tight like new, but floats on a cloud just like an ABC-equipped W220 is supposed to do. ABC sport mode works perfectly. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. This car drives and handles like new. -- -- Ahh, 604HP of AMG goodness. – -- It has its books, working remote key, MB service history, and more. With only 75K miles, this car is not even broken in yet! All you have to do is drive. -- -- If bidding goes over $24K, besides the new staggered 19” tires mentioned above, I will also include OEM floor mats and a full $200 detailing including engine bay, carpet shampoo, leather conditioning, orbital polishing, etc. I'll also include ToughGuard paint protectant. That’s over $1,500 in value all included at the BIN price! -- -- Nits: The car is 9 years old, so does show some minor chips and touched-up scratches from being on the road. The very bottom of the front air dam has cracks either end (it can only be seen if lying on the ground looking up), it has a few door dings, small ding to RR wheelwell, and some curb rash to the wheel faces. And if I did not mention those, it's unlikely anyone would even notice...I just want to be up front and honest. -- -- I have good feedback, and sold many Audis, Acuras, and Benzes that the new owners are thrilled with.
