2005 Ford Mustang Convertible This would make the perfect Christmas present for that someone special in your life. This Sweet Sporty Mustang droptop was purchased from Florida 2 years ago. I bought it to surprise my daughter for her Sweet 16th birthday party. The big red bow shown in the opening picture will be included in this auction if the lucky winner would like. After spending its entire life in Sunny Florida the paint had started to fade. Time was of thee essence to bring this rare Legend Lime Green Mustang into like new condition. I searched for many months to find one in this rare specific color. There were less than 200 made in this rare color combination. The front end had some minor damage to the core support, so I had the entire core support replaced with a genuine Ford replacement core support. I also decided to update this Mustang to the GT model. I had the entire car professionally painted with the front GT ground effects package including the correct GT fog lights with the correct dash switches, and the new GT gas cap. The GT hood scoop was added at the time of the professional paint work. I do have pictures of how well this car was prepared for primer, and then painted in its original color followed by the expensive gloss clear coat. This car was done right and it shows as evident from the pictures. I even went as far as adding the newer styled Mustang GT wheels with the spinner center caps and like new high performance low profile tires. This convertible really hugs the road nicely. The original interior lacked luster, so I upgraded everything including the fresh new GT tan leather seats, and brand new carpeting. That was a very major expense, but I felt my daughter only turns 16 once. I had a complete brand new tan convertible top replaced with new padding at a cost of $1500. This brand new convertible top has only been put down a handful of times, so it should last for many years to come. I also replaced the gear shifter with a new genuine Ford shifter at a cost was $300. The silver vents were added, a new blower motor for the heat and air conditioning, new battery, and new disc brakes all the way around. This Mustang has all of the correct GT emblems and all the correct Mustang GT parts made by Ford. This Mustang is fully loaded with all the options including cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power drivers leather bucket seat, and power convertible top. The original factory Shaker AM/FM CD Sound System sounds awesome even with the top down. Needless to say my daughter was delighted when she opened up the garage on her birthday as shown in the opening picture. This is the perfect car for someone who doesn't want to pay the gas prices of a V8, but still wants that classic sporty Mustang GT convertible look. The original wheels and tires that I got with the car have very good tread and can easily be changed and used as a spare set for winter driving. All four of those original alloy wheels and very nice tires are shown in several pictures and will be offered to the winning bidder at an additional price of $500 post sale. The wheels with the spinner center caps are the wheels currently on the car. The winning bidder may actually have their choice of which wheels they would like with this sale. I would be more than happy to swap them out if the winner would prefer the originals. This Mustang GT look-a-like has never seen snow and only used in the Midwest since my daughter's birthday this past June. It has been garage kept since I made the purchase. This cool Mustang was inspected in January of 2015 and showed no known issues. It starts right up every time and the steering is nice and tight. It drives wonderfully down the road whether the top is up or down. This car is in excellent over all condition! I have a stack of receipts showing all the work that has been done to make this Mustang in tip top shape. An exorbitant amount of money was spent to insure that this Mustang will be worthy of many years of enjoyable top down cruising.
