Vehicle Detail
This is a re-listing from the auction I ran in late September. The "buyer" made the deposit and said he was coming to get it about two weeks later. He went MIA and then called me to tell me his wife had some health problems. I was working with him and being understanding. He said he was going to come and get the car the first weekend of November then the second then the third then said he'd let me know by the beginning of December when he could come. Last Monday I told him I wanted the full payment by December 4th to continue to keep the car. I sent text message, email and Ebay message with no response. So I now have the car sitting in my backyard exposed to the elements and winter bearing down on me in Central Pennsylvania. I had the car in my garage but need it for my truck since winter is coming. I also still need to get the transmission replaced and have been nursing it to keep going in the hopes this guy was going to come, get the car and give me the rest of the money. I'm not waiting any longer for this guy. I need the cash and the car gone. I have started the car several times over the last few months and let it run for a bit to warm up. I've only driven it from inside my garage to the back yard. Everything in the description below is still true to the day I originally listed it. NO RESERVE! WHATEVER IT SELLS FOR IS WHAT IT SELLS FOR. I GOTTA GET THIS CAR GONE! I just bought this car on August 21st up in Mass. I am being forced to sell the car because my truck needs a massive amount of work to pass PA state inspection and possibly needs a new transmission, my truck NOT the Viggen;) This Viggen is the last year of the 3 door Saab and 1 of 136 lightening blue Viggens that came to the USA in 2000. It is a super rare car and I've tried to buy one for almost 3 years and finally found my dream car. I saved and pinched to do it and now I need the cash to fix my daily driver or be forced to not have two cars that I can't drive. My loss is your gain on this car. I am the third owner and the guy I bought the car from owned it from around 33,000 miles. He'd put over 12K into the car in the last 3 years and mechanically the car drives like it is brand new. The engine is strong and turbo boosts super strong like it should. Transmission shifts smooth as silk in all 5 and reverse. I have the guys "book" of service and maintenance records to show. I know the Slave Cyl, Master cyl, Clutch and AC have been serviced and replaced over the last few years and are in the paperwork. Tires have over 50% and are low profile performance. Car does have high milage and the guy worked over an hour from where he lived and it was his daily driver. Anyone that knows Saabs knows that as long as they are maintained the mileage doesn't really matter and this car is still a baby. During the short time I have owned the car I have found the following wrong with it: 1. Left front strunt started leaking during the drive down from Mass.2. The top part of the ACC box has the binded up lever that won't allow the air to blow out the front vents. It is a known problem in pre-2000 Saabs. AC does blow cold.3. CID/SID display has the crapped out pixels that is a known problem. 4. Cruise control doesn't work and I believe it is the lever because it doesn't automatically shut off when you turn left. 5. The left from jack cover is in the glove box but can't be used because the clips to hold it in are all broken. I was going to order a new 3D printed pair from Shapways for $40 plus shipping and use the touch up paint the previous owner gave me to paint them. There is rust on the back part of the hatch, right rear wheel well, lower gas cap area and inside the bottom left door jam. You can see it all in the pictures. My intention was to have the body work done next spring and I knew buying the car that it had these problem areas. That is everything I know about the car. It is a dream to drive and I hate to have to sell it but I have to have the money to put into my truck. All in I spent $5500 buying, titling and traveling to get this car. My reserve is only half that price. ANY questions you have please ask. The car is being sold as is where is. It is your responsibility to arrange pick up with me. I'd work out meeting you with the car if outside PA but expect a few $ for travel expenses. $500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction end and the rest in cash the day you pick the car up. Car MUST be picked up within 7 days of the end of auction and final payment due in cash the day you pick it up. I will meet you with the car at the local tag place or meet your transportation service at a better location to put it on the truck. If car is not picked up within 7 days you forfit your deposit. On Dec-13-15 at 10:25:36 PST, seller added the following information: Car is being sold as is where it is.
