1968 Triumph GT6 MK1 with 67,000 on the clock. VIN: KC1885L Engine No: KC9535E Colour: Satin Black Interior: Tan Leather Engine: 1,996L inline straight six with twin Stromberg carbs. Transmission: Manual 4 speed, RWD. Wheels: 4x D-slot mags with a spare in the rear. Weight: 864kg Recently rebuild engine ($3500 cost), New clutch (2000kms ago) Le- mans style race bonnet (worth around $2500) and race exhaust. Electronic timing and was a daily driver. The GT6 is one of the best-looking Triumphs ever made, an Italian designed sleek fastback grand tourer with a punchy inline straight six two litre engine, makes the car a pleasure to drive. The MK1 is a rare car and examples are becoming hard to find. The sound this car makes is amazing. Click on the video link below. The car has headers and doesn't burn any oil and runs well. All of the gauges and lights work, the brakes are around 70 percent front and back, the car pulls in all gears and is fast to drive. The car body is in good condition with minimal rust, only a small bubble on the quarter panel, which is just surface rust under the satin black paint. The paint was redone 15 years ago and to do the car justice, could be redone as it does have some cracks in places, but the matte paint makes the car look great. The interior could use some work with a tidy up and new carpet. Interior sets cost $239US, so not expensive as with all of the parts for this car. The dash is in good shape and there is space for a radio (speakers are installed). There are lots of spares available for Triumphs at reasonable prices both online and at local parts places; the GT6 shares parts with Spitfires and Vitesse's so sourcing isn't hard. I did notice that the drivers side underfloor section has been repaired (not by me). I would in time do a better job of this. A brand new panel is available for $149 from Victoria British. With regards to the interior rear light, the cover isn't installed, but will come with the car.
