Vehicle Detail
1969FirebirdConvertible This is a true survivor car. Never been restored, just very well kept. Original paint and interior. It was a well optioned car with factory air, power steering, power top, and cruise control. No visible rust on the body. The frame and floor pans are solid. Comes with a folder of paperwork to support the odometer reading of 88k miles. The interior is in great shape with no rips and the cushions are firm and comfy. The top is also in good shape with no rips or holes either. The body is straight as you can see in the pictures. This car was a weekend driver most of its life and never sat for long periods. It was obviously garage kept as the paint and chrome show very well for its age. Of course, it's not perfect, not a show car, but a really nice driver. It has a few nicks and scratches but looks awesome going down the road. Mechanically the car is super dependable and ready to take you anywhere. It was just driven from Orlando to Miami and back a couple weeks ago with no issues. All the belts and hoses were recently replaced for the sale, as well as new plugs, wires, cap, tires, brakes, etc. All fluids were just changed. It has a newer four barrel Edlebrock carb and it runs smooth and strong. No weird squeaks or rattles, just the wind in your hair cruising with the top down. The top seals up nice and tight, and the all the weatherstripping is good so the doors shut nicely. The windows go up and down effortlessly. It had a fancy stereo system that has been removed for the sale, but all the wires are still in place for easy install of whatever radio you choose. This is one of those rare classic cars you can let your lady drive without hesitation. It doesn't have any quirks or issues and is easy to drive. A/C blows cold. It really is a joy to drive. The original color scheme is great and very nostalgic. People always come up to talk about it everywhere it goes. Feel free to send a message if you have any questions. This car has nothing to hide and is going to make someone very happy. Good luck bidding! This car is sold as/is where is. I wanted to update with answers to some of the most common questions. I am also adding some pictures of the underside and a picture of the VIN plate and trim plate. Many people have asked if we can end the auction early for a cash offer, and there have been some great offers, but this is my father's car and he wants to let the auction run it's course. He says it wouldn't be fair to the other people watching and bidding if the auction just ended and they didn't get their chance to buy it in the auction like it's supposed to go. He's a fair man, which is why he's also concerned that the car looks better in pictures than real life. I told him everyone knows that cars always look better in pics, but he wanted me to say it here in the ad. This is the original paint from 1969 so it obviously isn't perfect. There are some nicks and scratches as you would expect. It's a little dull, but looks great going down the road and there's a lot to be said about the rarity of finding one of these cars that has it's original paint from almost 50 years ago. It tells you a lot about how the car was cared for over the years. The cruise control is all there but doesn't work. The power top works as it should and he even bought and installed two new cylinders last week for the sale. The underside of this car is in great condition. Original floor pans are very solid. The rockers have almost no rust and no signs of any patchwork at all. The frame appears rust free as you can see all this in the pictures. All in all this is a very solid reliable car that is ready to be enjoyed. Just turn the key and go anywhere. Thanks again for all your interest and good luck bidding. Oh, and we will gladly meet you at one of the local airports so you can drive it home, or we will deliver it to a shipping company within 50 miles.
