This 82 Camaro Indy 500 Pace Car Special Edition has a 305 engine with a newly installed Edelbrock Performance package. These items were installed at 34,000 miles. I have the receipt for over in $3,000 parts and labor. This package consists of Edelbrock stainless steel headers and full exhaust system, complete from the headers to the tail pipes and exiting behind the bumper. Also included with this system are a new Edelbrock Performer camshaft and lifters, a new Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, a new Edelbrock carb, new Edelbrock valve covers, and a new Edelbrock high performance distributor. This car has been driven only 1,500 miles since it was modified and partially restored. I'm told it was a show car when it was new, thus the low miles. This Camaro has an automatic transmission and positraction rear end. It also has 4 wheel disc brakes. THE REAR DISC BRAKES ARE A VERY RARE OPTION FOR 82. I WAS TOLD OF THE 6,000 OR SO INDY 500 PACE CARS CHEVY BUILT IN 82 THAT ONLY ABOUT 150 HAD THE REAR DISC BRAKE OPTION. Factory options include A/C, power steering and brakes. tilt wheel and cruise control, T-tops, a rear window defroster, and a rear hatch remote release. This Camaro starts right up and drives well. Yes this is a real Z-28 Indy 500 Pace Car. I have included a photo of the data plate for you to verify. This car has a solid rust free body. This has always been a western states car before I bought it and has never had any rust guaranteed. The paint is perfect and looks like a new car. The interior is decent for a daily driver and is beginning to look like its age. This is a 34 year old car but it’s in very nice shape for its age and it also has very low miles considering. The tires are BF Goodrich 235/60R15 Radial TA and have 60 to 70% of the tread left. The battery is almost new as are the belts and hoses. This car runs and drives very well but due to its age this is an as-is sale. This car is worth more than my asking price but I need the cash.
