1982 Honda CX-500- TURBO This bike has only 12,956 original miles on it. Please study the pictures - I've posted the max of 24 HD pictures which can also be enlarged. Please ask any questions about the bike or the sales terms that you may have before bidding. My Hope is that is stays in someone's collection - But I'm selling it because I am just plain flat out of room in my museum & have new bikes coming in within 1 - 2 months. I'm the 3rd owner. Number 2 & me have had it in a collection. I have also acquired an OREGON "Special Interest License Plate" because of the bike's Vintage Status. This plate is good forever and never has to be renewed. If the winning bidder lives in Oregon the plate will go with the bike. If the winning bidder lives outside of Oregon I will keep the plate & put it on another one of my bikes in the collection. So when I got it , my mechanic when through the entire bike head to toe because I did want to ride it a couple times a year. Here's what we did - 1- New tires F & R Bridgestone Battlaxs BT-45 Radials - look at the pictures they have about 30 miles on them. 2- Fuel Injection system throttle bodies digitally synced up & balanced. 3- All fluids flushed & replaced - Front & Rear Disc brake fluids - Coolant - Fork Seals & Fork oils. 4- Front Brake Calipers both re-built and flushed entire system filled with new brake fluids. 5- Installed NEW front brake Master Cylinder and flushed entire system filled with new brake fluids. 6- The bike was then Mothballed and put into my collection after I rode it several times - Talk about the "Turbo Hit" This bike has it!!!. This motorcycle even has the Original Owner's manual - Air Gauge Box that will back go under the right side cover. Also note in the pictures - the side covers each on both side have locks that use the same key for the entire bike! There are no Dents or damage on the exhaust pipes / engine side cases on either side Etc. The bike is a solid 9+ out of 10 and could go straight back into another Museum with just a light dust off. The only real imperfections is a tiny nick on the center of the gas tank in front of the seat & a scrape on the front fender. Both are shown in the pictures even though they'd be hard to see if you weren't looking for it. While I will assist YOUR shipper in picking the bike up . . . the bike will need to be picked up at my shop. You will need to get your own shipping quotes which can be done inside this auction. I will sell this motorcycle to a buyer outside of the USA but I will not handle any government paperwork concerning shipping. $1,000 non-refundable down payment is due within 24 hours via PayPal. The balance is due in 3 days & can be paid via PayPal with us each sharing 50% of the 3% PayPal fees OR cash - OR wire transfer.
