Offered for consideration is this 1915 Ford Model T truck. It is in very good condition. My father restored and built this truck in 1983. The body is a replica of the rare truck bodies that were built by Ford in a very limited number. The story as I was told and remember it, Henry Ford was selling chassis to coach builders and they were building delivery truck bodies. Henry thought he was selling too many of these, so he purchased a forest in Oregon and began shipping the wood to Detroit to build Ford's own trucks. This is the first time that Henry had to deal with carpenters that were unionized and after only a couple hundred trucks were built, Henry fired all of the carpenters because he didn't like the unions. This truck has many coveted Model T items. It has taper leaf springs and additional coil over springs. It has a Ruckstell Axle 2-speed rear end. The actual body side panels are aluminum and the fenders and hood are steel. The truck has not been running or driven in the last 15 plus years. My father passed away and we have decided to sell the Model T. I believe the engine is actually a 1921 that has the electric start. The electrics are 12 volt. My fathers goal when building this truck was to stay true to the body and year, but still have it able to be driven. The truck is complete and I believe can be started and driven with very little work. I can give a lesson on how to drive a Model T. You are welcome to see the truck. We will not consider any trades.
