2001 Subaru Outback Limited You're looking at a 2001 Subaru Outback Limited, 4 cylinder with 176K miles. I'm the second owner and have had this car since about 50k miles. Overall condition is a 4 out of 5. Mechanically it's in great condition. All major repairs have been performed and currently the only major thing needed are some tie rod ends on right rear of vehicle. Please see repair specifics below for service done to vehicle. Cosmetically the car is a 3 out of 5 and includes worn paint on front bumper from use of a front bra. Rear bumper worn paint from use of a bicycle rack. Normal dents and dings. Overall cosmetic condition is good. Interior includes minor stains and marks. Most notable is cracked dashboard material just above glove compartment. From what I understand this can be cheaply repaired, I just never bothered. Dashboard mat is included. Front sunroof shade panels separated and wont fully retract. Rear sunroof track components damaged and need replacement. Seat leather in great condition compared to other similar vehicles. Major issues common to this model Outback were head gaskets and drive axles. Head gaskets were replaced under warranty in 2009 and drive axles have all been replaced in the past 50k miles. Head gaskets were replaced again @ 136k due to mechanic doing a poor job the first time. No problems since. Vehicle has been located in the Southern United States, so no winter driving in salty road conditions. Oil has been changed regularly every 3000-5000 miles with only Castrol synthetic oil. Transmission and differential oil has been replaced as well as all belts and other items. Tires are less than 50% worn. Major repairs performed UNDER WARRANTY include, but not limited to: 2007 @ 69k - Both front drive axles replaced as well as timing belt and all other belts 2007 @ 70k - Catalytic converter & O2 sensor replaced 2007 @ 76k - Starter replaced 2007 @ 77k - Driver side window regulator replaced 2008 @ 80k - Transmission oil and filter replaced, differential oil replaced 2008 @ 84k - Knock sensor replaced 2009 @ 90k - Head gasket replacement , timing belt, rollers etc... The following are standard replacements done while not under warranty and not limited to: 2011 @ 123k - drive side axle replaced, power steering fluid flush, coolant flush, brake system flush 2012 @ 136k - Head gasket replaced, all belts replaced, transmission gasket replaced, front brake service performed 2013 @ 140k - Starter replaced, brake fluid complete flush, fuel filter replaced 2014 @ 155k - Timing belt, water pump, left rear timing cover all replaced, transfer case gasket replacement, complete A/C service with compressor replacement. A/C hose replaced from A/C to compressor 2014 @ 161k Both front CV axles replaced, right front wheel bearing replaced, fuel filter, power steering flush Other minor services have been performed along the way such as tire rotations, wiper blades, etc... I have taken great care of this vehicle and have tried to maintain it for security and reliability purposes.
