Vehicle Detail
HISTORY: This Dodge is all original, has 72,000 actual miles on it, and runs and drives great. The body is in pretty nice condition and the interior is exceptional. I bought this Dodge from the second owner (my Mother-in-Law). The original owner bought it new (of course). He and his wife drove it only occasionally; the rest of the time they kept it in the garage. My M-n-Law bought it from them; it had about 30K miles on it at that time. She and my wife drove it for a few years and put about 32K more miles on it (this was before I was ‘in the picture’). My M-n-Law stopped driving altogether and my wife bought a new car. She parked the Dodge in a detached garage/wood working shop/storage building where it sat – undisturbed – for about 15 years. After I married my wife, I talked my M-n-Law into selling it to me. I put it on a trailer and took it to a professional shop that specializes in restoring antique cars and trucks.Restoration Work That Has been Done: My goal in taking it to a professional was to get the car in good mechanical condition so a person could drive it and use it every day while doing whatever else in the way of restoration he/she wanted to do. Entire fuel system replaced - new tank, lines, pump, filter, carb. (2 brl. OEM), and air filter; Entire brake system replaced – drums turned, everything else replaced except the brake pedal and pedal linkage, bearings packed; New belts; New radiator hoses; New thermostat; New rocker arm/valve cover gaskets; New tires (period for 1969); Trans and torque converter flushed, new fluid, additive, filter; Ball Joints and differential greased; Power steering pump flushed, fluid replaced; New windshield wiper blades. New battery. Tagged. Good clear title.Twenty (20) Additional Photos – Some Close Ups and Surface Rust: Twenty-four (24) photos were just not enough to accurately show this car. These extra photos are important. I will email you the link to the “Drop Box” file where they are located, just send me a request.More In Depth Information Available Via Three (3) Videos Upon Request: To help you really appreciate what a nice car this is, I made a video of the engine start and running; and a video of a thorough ‘walk around’ including opening and closing doors, hood, and trunk as well as looking underneath at the chassis; and a video of me driving it a short distance and back. These videos are important. I will email you the link to the “Drop Box” file where they are located, just send me a request. About the Price: The clean retail value of this car is over $7,000.00. So, I figure that starting the bidding at less than half that value is reasonable. A person could do some paint & minor body work and have a nice usable collectable car and have a total investment of less than that value, depending on the bidding; especially if you do a lot of the labor yourself (e.g. sanding, taping, prepping the engine compartment, etc.)
