You have a chance to buy a real 1963 Impala SS Convertible, not a clone, for a reasonable price! The car has the original good running 283 V-8, auto trans with factory floor shifter & console. The car runs, drives & stops. The car was originally white, the last owner changed it to yellow, which I think is sharp. The Cowl Tag Trim Code is 815 Black Super Sport Bucket Seats T-02 Black Convertible TopAccessory Codes are B70=Padded Dash, M35=Automatic, Floor Shifter, Z03=Super SportThere are no multi coats of paint on this car, the last owner stripped most of the old paint off. Master cylinder was rebuilt & all wheel cyl's were rebuilt, & Silicone fluid was put in system, to keep all brake cylinders lubricated & long lasting. It has newer brake line tubing & shoes & drums are good. The car has station wagon springs in the rear. The interior: the left bucket has a rip, but right bucket seat is good. The back seat has no rips. The carpet was changed a few years back. The lower rear quarter panels were repaired with metal & a better trunk lid was installed. No cracks in the glass. It will need floors. I have better rear pans I cut out of a parts car that will go with the sale. The Outer Rocker Panels are good, inners need work. An NOS right front fenderwell was put in awhile back & the left is in good condition. The rear outer wheelhouses will need work. The X frame looks good, & the convertible top frame is in good condition. The electric top goes down ok but needs a bit of help going up. Top material needs replacement. No rust holes at front of dash, upper cowl. I cut some metal pieces to fix the upper trunk area, but met an Impala restorer who sold me an original upper trunk area in good condition with body mount "boxes" attached. One could weld the whole piece in or just cut the needed pieces off & use them. The lower trunk pan needs work also. The Car has been in the family since 1989, & was last registered in 2004. It has been started up several times a year & moved around frequently. The battery is good. The car was my uncles but he has passed on. He was the 3rd owner & I know some about the original owner. The interior panels have some tears. The hood lip has some rust starting. I have a good right front floorpan I will include in sale. The bottom of fenders have a small crack & will need attention. The trunk drop-offs have some holes at the bottom. The ends of the rear-most trunk brace need work. The rubber bushing on driveshaft needs replacing, a common need for these Impala's. I wanted to keep the car & do more to it but need the money for a roof on the house.
