Vehicle Detail

OK......Lets try this "One More Time" before she gets put in the back garage and completely gone over this winter. Below is my "original" listing.......I was only going to list my "65" "Hard-Top-Crank Sunroof" Bug one time....if she didn't sale....as stated above...into the garage for a "Winter" gone over. I'm actively looking for a "Volksrod" - most of the work done....don't want to get into any projects at this stage...so if you have one and may want to consider some "trading - negotiating"...let me know. Last auction my "65" almost hit the "Reserve" NOW NO RESERVE ! Don't want to give her away...as noted below don't have to sale...but came across a "sweet" Volksrod but don't want to have two (2) "Dubs" in the yard....so...."ONE MORE TIME"...SERIOUSLY.....here we go: NOTE: The "Bug" is "For Sale" locally...(sign in window), so if she sales locally this sale will end. ALSO: If you want to make an offer (no lower than starting bid), don't want to wait until the end of auction.....let me know....I can always STOP the auction and I'll work it out with eBay........want to come down and take a look at her.....let me know, we can set that up. Let me begin by saying: 1. I don't need to sale my "Bug" for any financial, moving, another project reason; I'm simply considering selling to seek out a "Volksrod" or if she doesn't sale, move her in the garage and do a complete "Body Off" restoration. Don't want to make her a "Volksrod" simply due to the fact that her value lies in her being a "65" - Hard/Crank Sun-Roof - fairly nice shape Type I "Bug" - want to keep her that way. Looking for a "completed" Volksod where someone else did the work (most of the work). 2. The "Bug" is a "Daily Driver" and by that I mean I can jump in her whenever I want, take a nice cruse up the Lake (Lake Erie) or to a local show. She isn't my only vehicle - only driven for the fun of it. 3. I purchased the "Bug" basically like she is, other than some of the engine upgrades I will identify. [and some of the obvious stickers :-)] 4. It appears that the "Bug" at some time was restored, this based on the re-paint, new interior, newer tires, overall condition etc. 5. She looks nice, get's "thumbs up" by everyone, runs good but has some very minor issues that one would need to address if wanting to bring her back to "Show Quality". No issues affect her drive-ability....or operational concerns, mostly cosmetic. With that said, Lets continue 1965 VW - Type I Beetle - "Bug" Red Exterior Beige / Black Interior 70,432 Miles (will change since I do drive her) Runs - Drives Great Smooth shifting Smooth Stop/Go Someone at some time did a "restoration" on her, I obtained her this way other than some engine work as noted: Oil change (include screen)New PlugsNew fuel linesNew (electronic) DistributorCarb Rebuild (new-larger jets)Valve AdjustmentSome new bolts - screwsReplaced Heater Duct HoseReplace one exhaustMisc. parts - adjustment(All this was done by a local - well known - well respected VW Mechanic) "Bug" came with a really nice, great sounding CD Receiver/Receptor JVC KD-S39 and 4 Great Sounding JVC Speakers When you play this system - put a CD in it, the sound is unbelievable loud and clear "Bug" is equipped with the somewhat rare (adds to value) Hard Top - Crank Open "Sun Roof" (No leaks) All glass is clear and good Tires are almost "New" I've taken a number of pictures of the vehicle Attempted to take pictures of the undercarriage but without putting her on a lift is somewhat difficult but I can tell you from what I have seen by crawling underneath the pans, and heater channels are intact. Have two (2) hubcaps only All in All She's in pretty good shape. May have missed some "minor" issues but not attempting to hide anything from any potential buyer. The value in this car lies in the fact that she runs, drives, stops and goes great!Interior is fairly "new", no need to replaceNice body, some minor concerns but niceUndercarriage looks nice - intact. Good engine - runs great - some improvement done.Good GlassGood (nearly new tires)Jump in driveRepair - Re-do while you enjoy her.Take to any show as is. Not perfect but remember she is 50 years old If your looking - If you know your VW "Bugs" - If you stay in the early - mid "60s" That's where the value is and is climbing Obviously "Pick Up" Only or Buyer arrangers delivery. CA$H required on Pick Up (No Checks - No "Full Payment" via PayPal (fees will kill me) [For out of State buyers who are going to arrange "Pick Up" and must pay via PayPal - additional charges (PayPal fees) will apply to total amount due] No "Bank Transfers" CA$H [For local Bank Buyers - On pick up if you want to go to the Bank together to withdraw money I have no problem with that] PLEASE NO "I'M FROM NIGERIA AND MY SHIPPER WILL PAY YOU - PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER" ;-( (PLEASE - REALLY!) NOTE "STARTING BID" is set LOWER than the appraised (Hagerty) value of this vehicle if it was in "Poor" condition - this "BUG" is in "Good" to "Very Good" condition. Questions - Comments - Welcomed And "Hey" If you have a "Volksrod" you are selling - or another classic - I may consider a "Partial Trade" which will save you some CA$H at pick up - Let me know. GOOD LUCK! THANKS FOR LOOKING - CONSIDERING! FEEL FREE TO CHECK MY EBAY "HISTORY" SIMPLY TO CONFIRM THIS IS A VALID - GOOD - NO CONCERN SALE. On Sep-22-15 at 09:22:50 PDT, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT Appreciate all the interest and the bidders but please; If you have "0" eBay Feedbacks, contact me prior to bidding. I've been selling on eBay a long time and "0" feedback bidders have a tendency not to follow through with the win if they win and also discourage other "valid potential bidders - buyers" to bid.....so if you have "0" eBay feedback, want to bid, contact me or have a friend who has "10" or more "Positive Feedbacks" bid for you. Thank you for understanding. Good Luck. On Sep-23-15 at 06:53:07 PDT, seller added the following information: REVISION - RESPONSE Thanks for all the interest and for the many questions reference to shipping. It is/will be the "Buyers" responsibility to arrange shipment. If you would like me to deliver the "Bug" I can deliver it within a reasonable distance but there will be a $1.25 per mile (gas-trailer usage): I can deliver for this fee to the following States: Ohio Illinois Indiana Michigan Pennsylvania New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. If I missed one that you are questioning, send me your State and Zip Code and I'll let you know. On Sep-26-15 at 06:45:55 PDT, seller added the following information: REVISION - COMMENT - RESPONSE Truly appreciate all the offers reference to the "Possible Trade" I'm offering and will look at what you got but I want to be clear: 1. Trade option are being considered as "Partial Trades" with cash in my hand. 2. Not looking for any "major" projects; I'll accept some minor engine tune-up, part replacement, some body work (finishing) but no "needs complete", "no engine or drive train", "rolling chassis" project vehicles. I'm slowing down in my "fabrication" and "engine build" hobby activities, staying in the "classic car" arena simply for enjoyment, driving, cruising. Hope you all understand. Good Luck, Thanks for all your interest. On Oct-14-15 at 12:27:42 PDT, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT PLEASE note location of automobile which is OHIO - 44406. If you cannot pick up or secured pick up - delivery DO NOT PLACE A BID. I had to cancel the last bidder due to his/her inability to have car delivered or picked up. Placing a bid which you cannot honer can send other potential buyers/bidders away. Thank you.
