Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1972 Caprice. This car is in awesome condition. I was in the middle of doing a mild resto to it but after 17 years of looking-I finally found a 1972 Imperial Lebaron so this one I no longer need. I would keep it,but my space is limited. I can't stand to see it sit. I drove it the other day and she's running tip-top. Needs very little to be perfect. I have replaced many parts to make a reliable car for cruising or daily use. It's just shy of 70,000 original miles and it shows. The only rust on the car is a small quarter sized area in front of the left rear wheel. It's not rusted through though. Undercarriage is rust free, rear quarters and front fenders are rust free. Never been in an accident. No previous body work,no Bondo. It is factory straight. There are no re-pop or replaced body parts on it. I do however, have a new rear view mirror, sun visors and a steering wheel to replace the old brittle plastic one on it now. I saved the original engine parts. The original intake manifold,2 barrel carb and air cleaner will be included if you want to take it back to original stock. Receipts will be included for all repairs I've done. Someone stole the right rear door molding off of it. I found a another piece for it but the little plastic clips don't seem to be the right ones. If you can find the clips it will be an easy fix. The new molding piece is in the trunk. The headliner is original but the stitching came apart on the first bead. No rips or anything though and should be able to be stitched back up. The seats have been redone in a nice blue velour to match the original material. Dash pad has one crack. They all seem to crack in the same spot. It is commonly called as a little joke-"The Mark of Excellence". You will need to adjust the speedo cable as it won't go higher than 40. There is a minor ground issue as well.,when you push on the brake pedal-the gas gauge goes a little haywire. Other than that, everything is working like it should. Owners manual, dealer brochure and EXPO '74 booklet included. Motor sounds great and has plenty of get-up and go. It is a 400 small block. I replaced the power window motors as well so they zip up and down pretty fast. If you have any questions-please feel free to contact me. This car is turn-key and will be waiting to be driven as soon as you see it. On Sep-20-15 at 11:33:04 PDT, seller added the following information: *If you are wondering why this has no rear wheel skirts-it never came with them. There are no brackets or anything. Whoever bought this car brand new ordered it that way. As I mentioned before,I saved all of the original parts though and they are all included with the car.
