2002, BMW K1200LT motorcycle for sale. 83,284 miles. 3rd owner. Have put over 20k miles since I have had it, mostly highway miles. Wouldn't sell except I am tired of the challenge of driving such a large bike on the gravel road where I live.This is the Elite model however I removed the GPS unit but it can be reinstalled if wanted. Has a CB radio and 6-CD changer player which I have never used (can't guarantee that they work). Bike is loaded with all the options available at that time. Also has custom seat, extra lights, multi-turn signal mirrors, top case rack w/ flashing brake light, Ohlin adjustable rear shock, alarm system, passenger arm rests, highway foot rests, HID headlight. Just had BMW shop replace crank case breather hose (which becomes a problem on older bikes), replaced all brake lines with stainless steel lines. Replaced front tire (Metzeler 120/70B17 Marathon), spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, air filter and engine oil/filter at about 82k miles. Rear tire (Metzeler 160/70B17 Marathon) is brand new. Dealer also replaced the backs on both mirrors so that they snap into place like they are supposed to. Bike runs and looks good, would not hesitate to take it on a long trip. It does have some scratches but believe in pretty good shape. Will only deal with cash. I can pick up buyer at airport or ? if they are coming from out of town at no charge as long as it is within 50 miles from Lawrence, KS. Bike is being sold as is, however if bike does not run as expected or fails to met with the buyer's satisfaction, will not require the buyer to complete the transaction. Please be aware that these bikes have a tall seat and are somewhat top heavy. This makes it a little more of a challenge to control at slow speeds and to stop/hold up. If this is a concern, may want to test ride one or at least sit on one before bidding. On the plus side, they handle mountain or curvy roads like a sport bike (in my opinion). If you have never ridden a bike with a electronically adjustable windshield, it will spoil you. The following items are offered with the bike. The buyer can have any or all of these items.4 helmets: 2 Shoei (one very nice, $400+ when new but has a few nicks from being dropped, not wrecked) 1 Ariai and 1 HJC.
