I just found this 1959 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE NON MOLESTED SURVIVOR SUPER SPORT 396 Numbers Matching Year Correct Turbo 400 with Matching 12 bolt Posi disk brake in a garage for over 10 years. The fella that owned it passed and I purchased it from the family. This vehicle was even originally sold in 1969 in PA as you can see on the title as it was assembled in the Baltimore plant. This car has factory astro ventilation, SS Factory Ralley Pack Gauges; tach, oil pressure, water temperature and volts (all functioning)....even the seat belts are still up in the headliner clip and the door buzzer still buzzes. The interior is about as nice as they come with over 46 years on it. It has the original horse shoe shifter and interior lights even lift. This vehicle was painted many years ago, but is presentable. It has the original rims with BF Good Rich Radial T'/A's. It also has the bias ply spare in the truck. The Rear 1/4s have not been hacked or redone and appear original. The floor boards are mint and have no rust the same as the trunk pan. The lower fenders are rust free..amazing! Even the door panels look good and they NEVER look good. You will have a hard time deciding whether to keep this a survivor or spend a few dollars on the paint and make it a 40,000 plus trailer queen. The 396 runs strong and appears to have been freshened up at some point. The fella spent over a thousand on HOTCHKIS Trailing arms and sway bars so it hits the road like a new car and rides very quiet and tracks nice and square and straight. I have posted a pic of the Original Numbers Matching 396 325 Horse, which appears to have been rebuilt from the gasket set and a cam which sounds pretty nice.
