Up for auction is my 1968 Mustang coupe. This car was restored and finished 8 years ago. It has won over 30 awards and still looks great. Included in this NO RESERVE auction will be a Marti Report, the original warranty data card, original build sheet, reproduction owners manual, reproduction dealership brochure, custom Covercraft indoor car cover with Mustang imprint, complete build book with all receipts and a trunk of spare parts including extra heads, original 2bb intake and assorted small things. I will do my best to describe all I have done and complete condition of the car. It presents very well and has no rusted panels. There are some paint defects and please understand this is NOT a Barrett Jackson $50,000 show car or a never driven trailer queen. You can get in it and drive anywhere, much like I have done for the past 9 years. It has the Original 289 that was completely rebuilt 5 years ago. At that time it was converted to a period correct 4 barrel intake and I had purchased an original Autolite 4300 from Pony Carbs. The car was originally factory Meadow Lark Yellow and I was repainted the 2006 new Lime Gold Metallic. As I said she isn't perfect and from 20 feet it is very close. At very close look there are some things that in the future you may want to address. I honestly have no problems with it but want to be honest. The vinyl top is flawless! There is a patch panel welded in the front frame rail and it is very solid. Torque boxes and all frame rails are really nice and solid. This is a really nice driver. Take it home, drive it, win a few trophies and enjoy it as much as I did. She doesn't smoke or burn an ounce of oil. No coolant leaks. No rear end leak. No fuel leaks. She always starts right up. Here are the only known issues.Has the typical transmission leak. Might be front transmission seal. I replaced the transmission oil pan with a heavy duty chrome style with drain plug and installed a new gasket but it still leaked. I add a quart every spring and I am usually great for the season. She shifts perfectly. So smooth you will be amazed. At 75 mph there is a slight vibration in the front end. May be the thin white wall style tires and no power steering.
