Just one look at this beautifull 57 Ford Fairlane 500 hardtop and you are right back to the great days of DooWop music,Drive-in movies,and all the other wonderfull memories of the first time you ------!!! well, "you know!". Enough of that. Let's talk about the car.. You may not remember this fact, but back in 1957, Ford outsold Chevy by far and the "Fairlane 500"hardtop was the most popular model. This car is a really fine example of that year. It not only runs and drives great but it also has what i like to call "eyes". It attracts the eyes of the crowd when you are at a car show where it's surrounded by many other nice cars. It has the total package of the "right model" the right exterior color The right matching interior color and the wide whitewall tires add the final touch for the authentic "50's criuser"Just looking at the way this car sits, it seems to say "come check me out" AND! that is what i want youto do.Please check out the photos " i've tried to show all angles so you can see how nice it is thentake a few minutes to read the attached text. Here are the details! _______________________EXTERIOR_________________________________________________- Don't misunderstand,This is not a trailor queen. This ias a VERY clean. rust free,great running, great driving, terrific looking car that you will be proud to own and to show!!! All body seams, including "hood,trunk,doors,etc. are straight and tight. The car has rust free sheet metal and the beautifull red&white paint job really shows well with nice depth in the color. All the exterior chrome is in excellent condition . Bumpers headlight& taillight bezels etc. all great. The rest of the exterior trim which includes side trim, window trim, headight and taillight trim,etc. is also in great condition. Headlight,taillight,windshield,rear window& all window glass is clear and damage free. The original Ford hubcaps are very nice and of course there are fender skirts. When you look undernieth the car you will see that it is also clean and rust free!. ___________________INTERIOR_________________________________________________ I think the photos tell the story of the interior. The red&white interior looks super and everything is in beautifull condition. The seats have been redone and are very comfortable so you can take long trips withoutnthe backaches and leg cramps that come from restored older cars.The door panel are upolstered to match and the windows go up & down properly.The rugs , rear shelf and visors are also done and there is a new headliner. The radio has been replaced with a stero/CD player that fits in the original opening. All interior brightwork is in great condition. _____________________ Mechanical____________________________ As i stated previously, this car runs and drives beautilully. The 302cu.in. V8 runs strong and smooth and there are no leaks or unwelcome noises. I believe that the odometer was set to "0" after the rebuild however i do not have receipts or documentation to prove it.There is a "Edelbrock 4 brl carb. and stainless steel exhaust with glasspack mufflers.The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The car has power steering and along with the "nearly new" wide whitewall radial tires,the car rides straight and corners nicely. The nearly new brake system stops the car on a dime.
