With a transverse engine and gearbox in a mid-mounted, rear-wheel drive configuration, the X1/9 was noted for its excellent handling, lightweight-removable hardtop, front and rear-storage compartments. This car has been in storage for some time and was recently restarted. The engine seems to run without any unusual sounds. The headlight motors work. The instruments and radio work. The floorboards are rusted through, there are rusted areas on the body, the clutch pedal goes to the floor and does not operate, the brakes seem to work but will need renewing, the seats have their original leather but they are worn, they have fabric covers, there are a number of extra parts and the original carpet is included.
