1992 West Palm Beach Lexus SC400 In 2008, I purchased this Lexus in West Palm Beach, Florida. It had always been a Florida car and was owned by a die hard Lexus enthusiast whose wife drove the car. I have driven the car sparingly. It is my understanding that the body has never had any damage. It has had one repaint due to the Florida sun cooking the clear coat. In the 10 years since then, the clear coat has begun failing again. The paint itself is very good and the body is perfectly straight without any hint of rust. The leather seats have always had Lexus cloth seat covers, so the leather remains in amazing condition for the year. The door panels and carpet are better than average. Unfortunately, the Engine Control Module (ECM/ECU) has gone bad, rendering the car inoperable. To make matters worse, while I had the car at the auto shop it was broken into. The stereo was stolen (if you know anything about the factory stereo’s, they did me a favor) and the console/doors damaged. At this point, I kind of grew weary with the car. Prior to the problem, the engine ran perfectly and the transmission shifted just as it should. Also, the driver’s door opens/closes hard from sitting. I am selling it as is.
