1978 BMW R80/7. As you can see in the pictures, the bike is a good looking bike. I have owned it for about 3 years, but did not even ride it this year. Honestly, I have too many irons in the fire to ride on it or work on it. So it is time to sell it. The bike overall is in pretty good shape, rides and handles well (see carb comment below), tires are good, paint is good, mufflers are very good, no smoke, no dents. I want to be as upfront and point out some work that the bike needs. Here are the items: The odometer is broken, so I don't know how many miles are on the bike (it was that way when I bought it, a fairly common problem, it does not smoke or burn oil). The tool tray is missing under the seat. There are scratches on the headlight from a previous owners keys (see pix). It really need some carb work. It will start fine, but idles rough and is a rough until the rpms come up, then smooths out. You would definitely have to repair this to enjoy riding the bike. The bike will also be for sale locally, so the auction may end early. If you have any questions, let me know and I will do my best to answer them.
