RELISTED DUE TO NON PAYING BIDDER----backeasthotrods ---WHO WAS KIND ENOUGH TO SEND THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE THREE DAYS AFTER WINNING THE AUCTION; ------------------------------------"sorry, I decided not to buy the car at this time."------------------------------------------------------------------ Please-- serious bidders only! ****************************1958 Dodge Custom Royal *********************************************** * Original Dodge Big Block, "Super Red Ram", 350 4V with 300 HP Motor --Original Carter Carburator/Manifold and air cleaner are present. * Optional Three Speed Pushbutton TourqeFlight Automatic Transmission * 3:31 Rear end gears * 126,000 Miles * Optional Power Steering * Optional Electric Clock, Radio, Day/Night dash mounted Rear View mirror and Windshield Washer. * Appears to have been repainted once in the original Two Tone colors. * The headliner and Sunvisors are in Great condition save for one Half Dollar sized torn spot on the Headliner, shown in the photos. * All the glass is original and in Great shape. * The front and back seats are in excellent condition. * All Door Panels have pulled away at the bottem, the drivers panel showing heavy wear. * Rear package tray is warped and stained. * Front bumper and Grill are nice with much shine remaining to the chrome, the rear bumpers Chrome is very dull but the bumber is very straight. * The piece of Stainless Trim on the rear pass. side door is damaged. * Original and Rare Exhaust diffusers are still present on the rear bumper and in decent shape. * Trunk floor has a panel riveted on top of the original floor, all body panels appear to be the original ones. * When Tapped, the floorboards and frame rails feel very solid. * Comes with the 5 original Rims and four Hubcaps that are in great shape, also four extra taillights that are in poor condition. * Production Statisics are hard to find, but one source states 15,500 Royals in all trim forms were produced in 1958. Will Run (video of engine running,Last Photo) and drive,but the brakes are scary(New Master Cylinder instaled, but needs all brake lines replaced), for such a large car-- with the power steering, the car turns effortlessly..
