This auction is for a 1968 Toyota FJ40 all original condition with solid practically rust free body. This FJ has the hard to find three speed column shifter with I believe a dealer installed low/ high overdrive option, i believed from what research I did the were made by Hone- o-Drive,also had a heater in the rear and the hoses run back there but is blocked off and the heater is missing.It has been sitting for quite a few years, the harmonic balancer cracked and it was parked. The engine turns over easily, but will need general going over and a new balancer and the thermostat housing. I don't know the condition of the engine before it was parked. I am not very familiar with FJ40 and am not able drive it so don't really know the condition of the engine or drive train so I am selling it as an as-is project .It has all,of the original seats except the driver seat. The body is straight and appear to be the original paint just a couple minor dents. The front left is a little more faded from being in the sun more where it was parked. No rust in the floors except surface rust where the paint was scratched, the same with the body. It is a very solid original FJ with some rare options that would be a great candidate for restoration.
