Vehicle Detail
Here is a great chance to get a gorgeous, well maintained Volvo wagon that is 100% rust free, thoroughly maintained, and 100%, everything working as it should grocery getter, long trip-taker, or for a lucky young student whose parents value safety, reliability, and rock solid performance and economy. This bright red Volvo was faded from sun exposure and professionally repainted in it's original red attire, it is an EXCELLENT job with an excellent rust free and ding free body to start. Is 154,000 a lot for this car? Absolutely not, the 240 series, if maintained, can easily go 400-500 thousand miles with proper maintenance. This car is is way better condition than many with under 75,000 miles because EVERYTHING has been refreshed, renewed, or thoroughly inspected to insure years of reliable service. Here's what's been done in the past 3 months: ENGINE: New Filters/air, gas.New drive beltsNew alternator and voltage regulator (OEM)New engine belly pan and gasketAll new fluids flushed clean and refilled: Engine, trans, brake fluid, coolant, and power steeringNew throttle body service/ TPS adjustedValve adjustmentNew timing beltNew water pumpAll engine sealsCap, rotor and new NGK plugsNew pvc breather box, intake manifold gasket, and flame trap nippleNew VDO fan motor for heat/acNew freon flushed/leak checked for ACNew upper and lower hoses STEERING AND SUSPENSION:New lower control arm bushingsNew front lower ball jointsNew front and rear brakes AND rotorsNew emergency brake shoes/cableRecent inner and outer tie rodsNew rear upper torque rodsNew rear shocks (OEM) Nice set matched tires (80% tread remaining) ELECTRICAL: New fuse panel/all serviced and all electrical items work perfectly.New tail lamp assemblies right and left rear (had tiny chips)New fuel gauge sending unit.Wiper and washer unit good working order.New tailgate lock and wiring harness INTERIOR: OEM resting of front seats/ as new.Headliner excellentBlower quiet/ AC and HEAT both excellentHeated seat option BODY/PAINT/UNDER CARRAIAGE:Paint is 9.5 out of 10. Very nice job.New pipe and exhaust behind Catalytic Converter This car has a very reasonable reserve and is priced very fairly. I have had many 240's and this is a very nice example. The transmission shifts effortlessly, the brakes stop instantly and evenly, and the car handles and performs like a much, much newer car. The Red and tan are Volvo's most sought after wagon color combination, and everything works like it did the day it drove off the lot. Most of it's life was spent in NJ and commuting to and from Florida. This is a great car, and someone will be proud to own it. I drove it on an east coast trip several weeks ago and it performed flawlessly. The interior is very clean and has just been shampooed completely leaving only the fade lines from where the mats sat on the original carpets, which are still in great condition. Car is advertised locally and this auction could end early if someone purchases locally. I will gladly assist in finding quality transportation should you desire to ship the car. I will also provide you with the assurance that this car could be driven ANYWHERE with confidence. Thanks for looking, and good luck with your bidding. I purchased this car because I love old Volvos and enjoy working on them. Please read my feedback if you get a chance.
