Vehicle Detail

1990 GMC Jimmy 2-Door 4x4 V6 4.3 Auto AWESOME LITTLE TRUCK WITH A NEW ENGINE AND TONS MORE!!! Just a great little truck that I absolutely HATE to get rid of!!!!! I have tons of money caught up in this truck that I’ll never see again but I guess I’ll just have to live with that. My plans were to keep this truck forever because I love this style Jimmy (S-10 Blazer) and I’ll probably never get the chance to own one like it again. I bought it from the original owner who lived in Canada. He was in his eighties when I bought it and he actually worked at the GMC dealer where he bought it new. I searched from the east coast to the west coast to find the perfect one. When I found this one, I had to have it! This one is equipped with the upgraded interior that includes the really cool blue digital gauges too. The interior is in absolute amazing condition and shows little to no wear. There is no fade, no rips and no stains. The interior is in beautiful condition period. The truck itself had 130,000 easy babied miles on it when I purchased it. After 2-3 hundred miles of driving it, I noticed a slight lower engine knock. I was crushed and upset but I loved the truck so much that I spared no expenses and had a new engine installed. The truck still ran great and drove great right up until the original engine was pulled out. I located a pickup version with 53,000 original miles that was involved in a major wreck, so I quickly approached the owners and bought the engine from their wrecked truck. After getting the engine, my shop replaced everything possible while the new engine was on the engine stand. They installed a new oil pump, all new gaskets, a new water pump, new belts, new filters, new plugs, new wires, new cap, new fluids and new everything possible. Nothing required replacing at first, but since the engine was on the stand and easy to access, we did it all even the oil pan just in case. Tons of new parts were installed and things quickly added up to be very expensive. In addition to the new engine and the new engine parts, I had new tires installed, a new Interstate battery plus much much more. I had so much replaced on this truck that the costs easily exceeded the truck’s total value. I did this because the plan was to keep it forever and I wanted it done the right way to avoid any/all possible issues in the future. The engine is obviously strong and tight now. It runs great as it should. It will provide many more years of enjoyment and reliable use. I trust this truck immensely and I would drive it coast to coast over and over with zero worries or concerns. Somebody will be getting a great little truck that they should be very proud of as I am. This particular cool older square style body is getting hard to find in good shape these days. I searched for quite a while before purchasing this one. I had to find the one that was just right. The exhaust is getting a little noisy behind the muffler but I will try to get that repaired before it sells. It was a Canadian truck but all paperwork and title were converted to the USA for proper American ownership/registration. In other words.. it is now a legal USA truck. The title is clean and clear. No bad history, no weird issues, no wrecks and no liens. Ready for new owner. The body is solid with some minor rust here and there that can be fixed easily or just ignore it too if you’d like. The truck still looks good and is very clean. It gets compliments all of the time and everybody loves it. My plan was to make the body perfect too. You’d have to see it in person to really appreciate just how cool this truck is. The frame and floors are solid with no worries there. The truck is tight, solid and drives great! There are so many new parts and I know I forgot to list a lot. This truck was garage kept before I bought it and it has been garage kept with us too. Just recently we moved it outside so our kids could use the garage for their toys and bikes. I have other pictures that I can forward by phone or email too. If there are certain pictures that you'd like, I will take and forward too. Equipped with all options * Air conditioning * Power windows * Power locks * Digital dash * Tilt steering wheel * Reclining bucket seats * Cruise control * Center console/storage * Folding rear seat * Roof rack * Rear mounted spare tire rack with a full size spare tire * Class III towing hitch/receiver with electric * Aluminum wheels * 4.3 V6 * Upgraded interior package * 4 wheel drive (shift on the fly) * Power rear hatch glass window * Factory tinted glass * Factory floor mats * Automatic transmission with OD * New engine with only 53,000 original miles * Beautiful interior * Really cool blue factory digital dash * New Dunlop RVXT tires (all four) * Tons of new expensive parts * Two door * 4x4 * Cool hard to find older square body style * Mud flaps since new * Nice aftermarket CD stereo * A real GMC Jimmy, not the very common S-10 Blazer version * Garage kept since new * Bought from original owner who bought it from the GMC dealer where he worked at.. a pretty cool little tidbit right there I think.. * This truck was babied and loved since new at it shows * And much more… Call or text with 716-984-8567 SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE.On Aug-18-15 at 06:43:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Same questions have been popping up and about the same few things too… The right (passenger side) door seems to have a fade or dullness about it for some reason. It is the original door but it doesn’t shine like the rest of the truck for some reason. I bought the truck like this and I do not know why it’s dull. Maybe in the past, that door was repainted and the paint/clear didn’t hold up like it should have?? I don’t know. It wasn’t as noticeable when I first bought the truck, but over time (the last few years) it seems to have faded a little more. The rest of the truck (upper blue paint) shines nicely still as you can see in the photos. The lower silver areas under the molding were touched up poorly yes. The original owner did that prior to us owning the truck. I guess it’s one of those older person putzing around things.. spraying with cheap spray can paint hoping to save some areas. I planned on scuffing it all and redoing it myself, but I never bothered and simply no time. I think it would be best to do it properly. This truck was oil sprayed (rustproofed) everywhere consistently top to bottom including the frame. This was done to avoid rust and to prolong the life of the truck. You’ll notice that immediately upon inspection. The undercarriage and frame are both in great shape and solid. The entire truck is solid and in good shape for its age but there are some rust spots here and there. Spots are not too bad but should be addressed eventually to avoid spreading further. Now that I think of it, the quick and cheap touch ups in the silver areas probably helped quite a bit from spreading further. Doesn’t look that great cosmetically but it did serve a purpose after all apparently. The power windows move slow like most of the older GM vehicles however they do work. There is some darker aftermarket window tint on the front windows that is starting to show its age but is okay for a while still. The body overall looks good in person and the truck gets compliments all of the time still the way it is right now. There are some minor chips and scratches in places simply due to age and from sitting around but nothing bad. The interior is absolutely amazing and hard to believe. Even the headliner and carpet are in excellent - amazing condition. I can’t believe the interior is so nice!! Evidently, the older gentleman really loved this truck and it’s obvious when you look at things. He was probably the only one that drove it and used it too. Little things like the clean hitch and original clean trim pieces prove that this truck was never abused or molested and loved dearly too. The wheels on the driver side were actually new in a box he said too. They were never on a vehicle. He saved them in case he ever wanted them for this truck. These two new ones have an argent/grey clear with black painted inner triangles that really look cool and set the truck off nicely. The passenger side have the typical (more common) transparent clear throughout. I like the look of the new darker ones better. They are all the same wheel but a different shade color only. The two on the passenger side would have to be painted to match the others on the driver’s side. I’m sure there will be some tinkering here and there because the truck is older plus it has been sitting around for a little while. It has a huge list of pros that add up extensively… the engine, mechanical stuff, tires, new parts and more. I know the truck will not fetch all of the money we have invested but it will kill me if it just sits around going to waste!! Somebody out there can be enjoying it. We just don’t have the time. We are extremely busy and I probably should’ve listed the truck sooner too but just never got around to it. I could’ve spent time repainting the bottom and covering stuff with Armor All but we don’t have the time. I simply sprayed it down with a hose and vacuumed the interior quick to take the pictures. The truck speaks for itself and has nothing to hide. Just a great little truck that’s perfect for the person that likes these cool little older styles. Again, I absolutely hate to see it go, but we do not have the time for it anymore unfortunately. Hopefully someday I’ll have time to get another one, if not this one again. Please feel free to ask all/any further questions. I hope this additional info helped some. Happy bidding and thanks again for all the nice questions, compliments and comments so far. J Thank you
