Auction is for a 1997 Ford Escort Station Wagon equipped with the original 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine and 5 speed manual transmission.Car is in great shape and can be driven anywhere. Everything works.I purchased this car from original owner several years ago. I went through and rebuilt the steering and front suspension at that time. I also put in a new timing belt, tensioner and water pump. Engine was tuned up with new plugs, wires, and belts. New disc brake pads were also installed. I drove the car for about a year, put about 10,000 miles on it and then sold to a friend. He drove it for about a year also and then sold it back to me. I was going to use it but another car became available so this car is available.While my friend had car he put in new battery, installed Ford Cruise control, replaced clutch and new starter.Car has always been very reliable. The car consistently gets about 30 miles per gallon running around town and I've gotten has high as 40 miles per gallon on a trip. Everything works, air conditioning blows very cold air, cruise works correctly. Transmission shifts nice and smooth.Car is located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Appointments can be arranged for a test drive or inspection. Overall this is a very nice, original very solid car that can be driven anywhere.
