Probably the sexiest big car I have seen, the 48 olds 98 Sedanette is built on a 125 inch wheel base (same as Cadillac sedanette) with advances in areas such as, first year of curved windshield, coil spring rear suspension, live rear axel with trailing arms comparable to the 68 - 72 chevy truck, front and rear sway bars, and, a design that was balanced and beautiful. This car has a sweet running Chevy small block with a 350 trans, all four knee shocks have been rebuilt, stock rear axel has new axel bearings, and, pinion seal. A Scarebird disc brake system has been bolted to the stock suspension in the front, 16x8 custom wheels with 235 60 16 tires round out the driveline. New 2 1/2 dual exhaust.... Body is a dry, never hit, solid example to build on, paint and bodywork are from someones garage, shows dirt, fish eyes, they painted over chips and imperfections, however, the body underneath is extremely nice, no patches or rust thru with the exception of some pin holes on the passenger side floor pan....trunk and all jambs are solid and dry... Wiring needs to be redone, aftermarket wiring has been spliced into the original wiring in spots, and, works, but, needs redone..I have a new wiring kit included, I was going to change the column to add turn signals, car also comes with a 60 GM column for just that purpose. For now its stock...no turn signals in 1948.. Could also use a correct radiator, this one works excellent, but, has repairs, and, wrong outlet positions. Its an old unrestored car, nice base to start, and, upgrade while you drive...in style.... Speaker holes are in door panels, not in doors, car has no radio, other than face plate in dash....
