It is in great factory original condition that is sure to win you many shows but not make you afraid to drive it. The car is mechanically sound and needs absolutely nothing, a true turn-key Porsche. I would not hesitate to encourage non-locals to make a road trip across country and take this car home. I’ve enjoyed my time with this car but have since gotten more involved with my vintage cars. It is a trade-off decision that I probably will regret, but a financial one that needs to be made nonetheless. The car has been meticulously maintained by all previous owners (5 total) and is documented through its maintenance booklet back to day one and receipts back to 1999. Below I have highlighted each area of this P-car to the best of my abilities and knowledge. Drivetrain: The motor received a documented overhaul at 72,305 (~27k miles ago) by Marque Motors in 2001. I have all the receipts related to this rebuild. It idles and runs beautifully and has absolutely no issues. It pulls all the way to to higher rev ranges smoothly and linearly. The transmission is a solid G50 transmission with no grinds. I always allow the car to idle 5-10 minutes and allow the oil to get up to temperature before I do any sort of spirited driving. There is no whining coming from any of the drivetrain and no pinging from the motor. There is a slight drip of oil coming from the oil line in front of the case, which seems to be an easy fix. The car does have J-pipe that opens up the exhaust to pure theater. Motor oil has always maintained a healthy pressure and temperature. Suspension: The car currently sits at stock height and can be raised and lowered by its factory suspension. The wheels are factory and the tires hold the road extremely well. I can also include a set of rare RS Cup 1 wheels in black and sizes 17x7.5 and 17x9, 55 offset for an extra $1,500. Handling is superb on this car even without any aftermarket suspension pieces. Factory wheels have a few small curb marks, but nothing major (please refer to "more photos" above). Body: This car has always been garage. The paint looks absolutely astounding and has never been repainted to my knowledge. There are a few nicks and dents here and there, but nothing that really stands out. The car would be an excellent candidate for show but also the new owner should not be afraid to drive it up their favorite canyon road on weekends. One thing I thought was always peculiar is the side mirrors having been painted black. This is probably a little touch that a previous owner thought would look neat - I’m not too fond of it. I would convert these mirrors to 93+ mirrors, but I will leave that up to the next owner. The windshield has a tiny stone crack at the very base which is not in the driver’s line of sight nor has not grown since I purchased the car. It is about ¼ the size of a dime. There is absolutely no rust damage on this body. The wing raises and lowers appropriately at speed (or manually), and does not have the common cracks you see from an aged body. All panels to my knowledge are original. Interior: The interior has patina. When I say this however, I do not mean ‘worn.’ The interior upholstery has a nice plush feel and does not seem to have experienced tattered wear over time. It is not by any means concours level, but definitely is a nice place to be. Nothing is torn, and with exception to a slight bit of fading, there is not much to do here. The dash is not worn or sun damaged, nor does it have any cracks. Carpet is clean and the storage areas are all very tidy. The door panels are also quite clean. All lights, windows, and electricals function properly with exception to the radio (not exactly sure what the issue is). The AC is not working but it may just need new freon. I never found a need for AC because I don’t drive the car in hot weather. Summary: All in all - this is great little 911 for any Porsche fanatic. It has the great combination of being unmolested, driver and show worthy. There are no mechanical issues at all, so you can expect to be able to just jump in and drive. The four wheel drive makes the car more well-rounded and grippy. I will be happy to send additional pictures to interested parties and arrange test drives for locals. I am best available during weekday evenings. Please do not be offended if I do not respond immediately, as work is extremely busy for me right now. Upon close of auction, I expect a $2000 deposit to hold the car.
