Purchased this car for a family member who was in a struggle. After buying it, discovered check engine light was on, was advised to do some engine work. Because it's family I decided to just replace the engine (with a used one that had 75,000 miles on it). After all was said and done, I was basically told that said family member doesn't need the car now. So, now I have a fun, really cool 2005 Toyota Prius... and nothing to do with it. If I didn't already have a car that I'm still making payments on, I'd keep this one, hands down! I drive it here and there to and from work, just to keep it moving, so it has 177,985 on it, but will have more since it is "on the road." The car passes New York State safety/emission inspection, and I will renew that on Saturday, for an August 2015 sticker. It currently has the previous owner's March sticker - I was told it will pass inspection and had another mechanic look at it and gave it a clean bill of health. If for ANY reason it does not pass inspection, I will give full disclosure and make the necessary repairs OR remove/cancel the auction altogether. It has new Goodyear tires, less than 4,000 miles since installation. Used engine installed with new spark plugs, throttle/intake cleaning and injector cleaning service. Also has new air filter and cabin filter. I actually have an extra of each filter and another set of new wiper blades (filters and wipers are Toyota brand) that I can leave for you (again, it was for family, so I did whatever was necessary).
