Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE: 1991 XJS Classic Jaguar Convertible. Do to health issues; I am selling my Classic Jaguar to the highest bidder. I purchased the Jaguar 12/2008 ($7,000). I immediately began making necessary repairs such as; four new tires ($450), new top and headliner ($1600), front brakes and rotors ($400), duplicate key ($100), oil change ($60), thermostat and new thermostat housing ($350), battery ($75), alignment and countless, other things. The Jaguar was stored inside for five years and then moved to my drive way, with that being said, I have put less than 200 miles on the vehicle since purchased. I have, since purchasing the Jag, been diagnosed with cancer and my attention has been solely on my health and not the Jaguar therefore, the Jaguar has been neglected. It runs, but not like it did when I initially made its purchase. I drove the Jaguar to town last week; it ran rough, made sounds and various noises that I am unfamiliar with (I’m guessing shocks and the such), and all kinds of smells and smoke from underneath the front end entered the cockpit through the vents and to top it off, someone had stolen the stereo (no wires were cut and the console is salvageable). The Jag looks good, but not as good as it did when I purchased the car. Auto check shows the Jaguar was at one time, leased; involved in a front end impact with another vehicle and an odometer discrepancy that was eventually corrected by the state DMV as; EXEMPT, but it’s not a Salvaged Title therefore, I am selling the Jaguar AS IS, NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER, EITHER IMPLIED OR STATED. I have no idea what the Jag might need to make it whole again. The body needs some work as well as paint. In 2003, according to the previous owner, the seats were redone as well as the door panels and the carpeting. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL OF THE PICTURES and bid accordingly. I live in a community that requires every vehicle on one’s property to be registered and plated, or the town Marshall has the authority to tow the vehicle; it’s imperative that the vehicle MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN SEVEN DAYS AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS because the plates expire the 28th. You could possibly drive the Jag on a trailer. Bring CASH for an exchange of a clear, Indiana title. I have done my best to describe this vehicle as honestly as I can. Good Luck and Thank You for the look.
