Vehicle Detail
Beautiful car that gets much attention and many compliments. Excellent original condition. Black on black leather with tinted windows is an excellent and timeless combination on this car. Very impressive and even a little intimidating! Interior and exterior are all original and in good to excellent condition. Original owners had car for nearly 30 years. I am the 3rd owner and have had it about 2 1/2 years. 2nd owner only had car about a year. Included with the car is much paperwork including original window sticker and build sheet along with many maintenance receipts from the original owners that document mileage and condition. The diesel engine runs and starts well. I have started it unassisted down to 10F and I have driven it regularly (about 10,000 miles) over last two and a half years with no engine issues. Oil consumption is less than one quart per 1000 mi, including some minor oil leaks. No fuel, coolant, power steering or brake fluid leaks. Extra 20+ gallon fuel tank installed in trunk by original owners (see pics). Combined with the factory tank it provides more than 40 gallons of fuel capacity. In routine commuting (50 mile roundtrip) I achieved 22+ MPG. Interior leather shows minimal wear, no tears or damage. No tears or cracks in dash or other interior panels. Carpet in excellent condition and original floor mats in good condition with some wear. Headliner has been replaced and looks great. All options/accessories work. Original Delco radio included but does not work, aftermarket AM/FM radio with auxiliary input installed. Exterior also in good original condition. Chrome and stainless is excellent. Paint still has good shine, but is showing checking over much of the surface. Checking is not visible from distance, but I have included some close-ups that show it. Typical dings/scratches typical for a 30+ year old car. Bumper fillers replaced and painted to match. Much mechanical work done in last two years: transmission rebuilt, radiator and hoses replaced, a/c system rebuilt (compressor, receiver/drier and orifice tube replaced, system flushed and converted to R134a), factory fuel tank and all rubber fuel hoses replaced, starter rebuilt, new alternator, new ball joints (4) and steering idler arm, both driveshafts replaced, driver's power window motor replaced, brake master cylinder replaced, all four shock absorbers replaced, trunk struts replaced. Ready to be enjoyed and driven! Feel free to call me with any questions. 812 3 four 3 5533 Shipping is buyers responsibility, but I can assist with your shipper. I would drive this car anywhere, but it is a 30 year old car so no warranty is provided. Feel free to have an inspection done, come drive see it, drive it, etc. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction ending and payment and pickup must be completed within 10 days unless I agree to other arrangements. I've had a lot of questions and requests for more pictures. I've added pictures at the included link. This includes pictures of the undercarriage (there is very little rust and no rust thru I've found - I believe it was rustproofed when new), more pictures of the interior and exterior and additional pictures of samples of the documentation. I've also included a picture of a box of spare parts that will be included in the auction. These are mostly suspension and brake parts and are spares, There are no needed suspension or brake repairs that I'm aware of. I had the suspension aligned less than a year ago and they found no issues. I've added some close-ups of the checking and touched up paint chips. Please keep in mind that these close-ups tend to make it look worse than actual, similar to the way that the distance shots make it look better. Here's the picture link and please keep the questions (and bids) coming. Thanks for all the interest! The style of injection pump (Stanadyne DB2, also know as Roosa-Master) used on this engine is said to handle it well and there is much information on the internet about running these with biodiesel. This injection pump was used on many agricultural and industrial engines in the same timeframe and ag equipment dealers can do maintenance. All parts are available. Newer injection pumps, like the popular Bosch HPCR and similar, do not handle biodiesel as well. I have not run this engine on bio-diesel so I can't speak to it personally.
