Up for auction is a very respectable 1970 Classic VW Beetle Convertible. This VW has a low reserve! Just had $900 worth of engine work done (paid the bill 7/10/2015). Please refer to the picture for break down. This repair included removing the engine to replace the rear main seal and flywheel o-ring, rear engine shroud, lower and upper oil cooler duct work, back cooling tin, fuel lines, and cooling tin. This engine is ready to go! I just took it on a 20 mile ride down the interstate. It runs good, shifts smooth, drives straight, doesn't wobble at all, turns good, and looks good. The paint job on this car is a cheaper job (Definitely fits into the category of a 5-10 foot car) You can't find a 45 year old Convertible Beetle that runs good like this for what i'm starting the auction at. Has newer top, newer tires, interior looks great with no rips, good carpet, aftermarket stereo, good exhaust, lights work, original wheels, spare tire, and newer trim pieces here and there. The floors have been replaced on this beetle. Its not the prettiest job but it is solid. This is a perfect project car for someone who doesn't want to worry about the major things such as how it runs, drives, and rusty floors. It does have a constant running that I believe is coming from the stereo. There is a dent on the hood that could be fixed by a body shop. This Beetle at some point was in a fender bender and work has been done to the front pan/bumper area (please refer to the pictures). This has been repaired and doesn't change how the Beetle runs. Again I just drove it down the interstate on a 20 mile trip with no problem. There are other small things this bug will need but nothing major. Great running little convertible!
