So the question is why should you buy this Corvette instead of one of the many that are listed on eBay and other sites. There are several C6 Corvettes out there with less mileage, however if you want a one-of-kind Corvette and in particular you want a superb audio/video/navigation system this is the C6 for you. Reason 1 While the Corvette is an exceptional high-end performance vehicle...it is not noted for having a quality sound system. This car not only incorporates a premium entertainment system but incorporates 550 watts of JL audio amps powering their best speakers. This system was custom designed and installed by Unique Car Audio in Gilbert, AZ and is the only one in the world. You will have the best sound system in your town...hands down. The brains of the entertainment system is the top-of-the-line Pioneer AVIC-Z1 an In-Dash HDD Navigation and Multimedia AV Receiver with DVD. Features include: - The AVIC-Z1 is a double-DIN sized 7 inch screen - 30GB hard drive for maps and music (10GB personal music storage) - Navigation with 11 million points of interest - Phone integration (Bluetooth) - CD/DVD/AM/FM - Pop in a friend's CD and it copies it to the hard drive - Backup and/or rear view camera. - iPod connection for audio - iPod connection for video (movies, videos, music videos) - XM NavTraffic™ Ready - Voice command - Roadside Assistance Display - Sirius Satellite Radio Ready - OnStar Ready http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/GPS-Navigation/AVIC-Z1/ Total entertainment system cost: $5,500 This 2008 black on black Corvette coupe is equipped with the Z51 Performance & Handling package that includes extra cooling, stiffer springs and stabilizer bars, specific shock absorbers, larger brakes with cross-drilled rotors, specific tires and Z51-specific (GU2) performance axle ratio with a 6-speed paddle shift automatic. With a 2.73:1 final drive the basic output is 430 bhp at 5900 rpm with 424 lb-ft of torque at 4200 rpm. http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-reviews/road-test-updates/2008-chevrolet-corvette-coupe-z51/ I am selling my Corvette simply because I have a 2014 model. The car has a new set of the best tires that can be found - Michelin Pilot Sport. Newer Optima gel battery. The car is in immaculate condition and kept in an air-conditioned garage. Additionally, having been in Arizona all it's life there is no rust. It's a black on ebony. The targa-top is removable and standard with this coupe. This car has never been raced or driven on a track. The mileage is 70,500 or approximately 9,000 miles per year. I consistently get 30 MPG on the highway. Reason 2 This car has been kept in an air-conditioned/humidity controlled garage. Although the car is kept in Phoenix AZ, the car never gets over 84°F (other than when being driven). Imagine a leather recliner sitting under a carport or in a garage for the past seven years. How would that recliner compare to one kept in the living room. That is the difference between this 2008 and any other 2008 Corvette. The paint, leather seats, interior, carpet, dashboards, tires, etc are aged equivalently to a car that is a year old. Reason 3 On June 30, 2015 I had the local GM Chevy dealer perform a multi-point vehicle inspection (Certified Service). This is a standard inspection they perform on all of their used cars and on any car where the warranty has lapsed and the customer wants an extended warranty. As expected everything passed with no issues. Comments on maintenance items were: All four tires have 7/32 tread. (3/32 or less is considered bad) The front brakes have 6 mm lining the rear's are 7 mm. (3 mm or less is considered bad) Disclosure About a year and ago I had a minor collision. It in no-way caused any structural damage. I have a full list of everything that was performed on it. The good new is as a result of this I got a new front bumper and paint. I then had a clear bra coat applied over the front bumper. If you've seen a car with a few years on the road the front bumper being so low to the groud is always pitted from road debris. Now my bumper looks like a 1-year-old car not 7-year-old car..
