2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 Z71. Extended cab 4 Door. Vortec 5.3L V8. Auto. 103,xxx ORIGINAL LOW MILES(Miles might be a little higher as I still drive this truck on and off). Dark metallic green with tan interior. Runs, shifts, drives, stops, and sounds excellent! No check engine lights and No mechanical issues whatsoever. Very smooth running/driving truck. All lights in and out work as they should. The engine is quiet with no exhaust leaks. The transmission shifts into every single gear flawlessly. The one single thing that does not work is the fuel gauge. It has been like this since I have owned it. I have owned it for about 5K miles. I use the tripometer and refuel every 200 miles. BODY All of the original Metallic green paint still has a deep shine. This truck is dent free and is razor straight. It has 1 very small door ding on the drivers front fender....It is so small that you have to look for it to find it when walking around the truck. The ONLY signs of any rust that I see is on the lower edge of the drivers rear door. The driver side rear door has just a little bit of bubbling starting in the paint. The rockers and cab corners are beautifully solid. I would say the body is 99% rust free which is very hard to find on these. ENGINE & DRIVETRANE Vortec 5.3L V8. Engine runs & sounds excellent! Quiet with no exhaust leaks. Holds perfect oil PSI. Has a lot of power and idles/runs smooth. The automatic transmission shifts into every single gear perfect. The rearend is whisper quiet. 4x4 high and low engages perfectly with the push button. All 4 brakes are in good shape and this truck stops hard and straight. All 4 tires probably have another 10K-15K miles or so before I would change them. The suspension feels nice and it is a comfortable ride. INTERIOR The interior is nice, but not perfect. There is only 2 things I can nitpick about the interior. 1 thing I can nitpick is the carpet has a few stains. I have never tried to scrub or shampoo it, but I bet it would come right out. The other thing I can nitpick is the headliner edge when opening the drivers door, is starting to peel away. This would also be an easy fix if it bothered the new owner with a can of headliner glue spray. All power options including push button 4x4(high and low), both windows, seats, stereo etc..work perfect. Heat blows hot and Ice cold A/C works great. Also, ALL gauges work perfectly accurate except the gas gauge. It is stuck on full and has been like this for over 5K miles. I own a small salvage yard. I bought this 4 Door Z71 at an auction and it was previously in a light accident. The front bumper had a dent, and the chrome grille was cracked. These were the ONLY parts that needed replaced. It was completely drivable with the damage and was a very easy fix. There is no way I could've justified parting this truck out so I fixed it to keep. I have the OHIO STATE PATROL paperwork to prove this was the only parts replaced. It has a rebuilt title due to this previous damage. It is a beautiful truck with very low miles compared to others. I would trust this truck on a cross country road trip without hesitation right now. It should last someone a very long time to come. I said I would never sell it, but I just got a good deal on an 02' Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab 4x4 that suits my growing family better....So I must sell this Z71 now. I have the title in my name and in hand. There is no liens and it is ready for a new proud owner. I have also priced this truck cheaper than any other comparable that I have seen for sale.
