1968 BMW 1600 This is a rare example of a classic car that has survived the test of time by staying original and staying driven. It has new tires, alternator, shocks, tune-up, brakes, and battery. This sweet 1600 has the rare front bumper override bar, and dual mirrors with air conditioning. (Air conditioning is all there but does not work.) The interior is all original, headliner, carpet, and the door panels are in serviceable condition. The dash has cracks from age, but blends into the character of the car for its age. The driver seat has a rip, so I have installed sheep skins to cover the seats to get warm in the winter and cool in the summer feel. The engine runs smooth and idles just fine. Shifting the 4 speed is also smooth and quiet. The clutch is just now starting to slip under hard acceleration. The front and back bumpers are starting to exfoliate part of its chrome and the front bumper brackets are slightly bent. This car has been painted once, before and I have been controlling erosion and dings as I drive the car. This car will make the lucky new owner grin from ear to ear, as on-lookers smile and give you a thumbs up with envy.
