I try to describe the positives & negatives of this vehicle accurately in this description. This Honda Accord runs & drives quite well! Although it has higher miles, with the manual transmission and Honda 4 cylinder this is a tried & true powertrain combination. I purchased this vehicle from as a trade-in from a new-car dealership in NW Ohio and have driven it about 1500 miles since - it runs and drives quite nice! We used this vehicle for a while to get around to pick up other cars and save gas. The 2.3L Inline 4 Cylinder engine runs strong with plenty of power. This Honda is equipped with the LX package that gives you all the basic power options like windows, mirrors, locks and slightly nicer cloth seats than the bare-bones basic models. Mechanically, this Honda appears to be in quite good condition. The engine & transmission are 100% running and driving. The brakes stop the car straight and with more than adequate power. There is only a very little bit of pulse coming from high speed when braking. While driving the steering & suspension components appears to be in generally good shape - on particularly bumpy roads you might hear a little rattle from the rear suspension but on normal driving there is no suspension noise. I have not noticed any leaks from this Honda. The car fires right up immediately when cold or warn. The heat and A/C work well. The car blower only works on levels 3/4 but it blows wherever you want it to (defrost, vents, floor, etc). The A/C is very cold and there is an aftermarket sunroof that works well and I haven't noticed any leaks. The Honda is equipped an aftermarket PYLE AM/FM/CD/Cassette/Aux player that generally works well, although it picks up quite a bit of electrical interference from the car and the display can be hard to read -- if you are in to car audio you will want to replace it but if you generally don't care this unit works good enough. The check engine light has been on while I've had this car, although it is off right now and I can't read the code. It was emissions or O2 sensor related, so it should be relatively easy to fix if you are concerned about it or just ignore it if it doesn't matter to you. There are no other warning lights illuminated. The exhaust has a slight leak but nothing that I would consider loud. All of the gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings, except the temperature gauge sometimes bounces on and off. The engine runs smooth with no lack of power at all - very strong. The manual transmission shifts smooth through the gears and the clutch holds the power well - if you aren't smooth when taking off there can be a little bit of clutch chatter but I hardly ever noticed this unless I goofed up when taking off from a light. All of the power windows, locks and mirrors appear to work like they should except the right rear power locks doesn't working (the lock work fine manually). The tires are all matching 195/65/15 size tires Kenda brand mounted on steel wheels with factory wheel covers. The tires all have decent tread remaining. The vehicle drives straight down the road with only a very slight vibration 60+ mph and there is a little tire noise in the front after about 40+ mph - both likely due the tires in my opinion.... I recently had a Toyota with these exact same brand of tires on it and they were noisy and had a slight vibration just like this Accord. I don't think too highly of these Kenda tires, but if you can live with the little misgivings there is some tread left. Spare tire is present. It appears that the ignition has been rekeyed at some point because there is a different key for the ignition from the doors. Like any 16 year old car there are a couple little issues, like the knob for the blower levels looks to come from another car as it doesn't fit right but works perfectly good and the turn signal/headlight selector has a bit of play in it (it works just fine except it is very difficult to get the high-beam head-lights to "lock" in). Overall, quite a nice running and driving vehicle, I would not hesitate to drive this one anywhere! Cosmetically -- this vehicle looks in pretty good shape. On the exterior, a few minor scratches and dings are to be expected that are consistent with the age & mileage, but no major body damage at all. There is some rust, but not at all bad for a 99 Accord in this area - a little around the rear wheels and bottom of the doors with the worst being on the front of the hood (see pics). The paint is in good shape all around and not faded, rare for a black Honda. There is a tiny bit of bubbling in front on the sunroof that is hard to see on pictures but it is not very bad. The paint is cracking on the left rear corner of the bumper (see pic). The windshield and the rest of the windows are clean and free or cracks. The interior is also in decent condition and is very presentable. The cloth interior has no rips or major damage. There is some discoloration in the carpets that would probably come out with a good steam cleaning - a good detail would benefit this interior. There are no smoke or other odd odors inside the vehicle and I have not noticed any burn holes -- it appears to be a non-smoking vehicle. Door panels are all attached normally. The headliner is in good condition. The steering wheel has a cover that I have not removed to see if there is any damage underneath. Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves! I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures. Overall, if you are looking for a decent running and driving car with Honda reliability and MPG, this could be a good option for you! I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities. Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me! I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle on the expressway and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay. Please remember that you are buying a used vehicle and that a certain amount of wear/use/flaws are to be expected on any used vehicle -- including this one. This is the State of Michigan's rule, not mine...but from browsing eBay $10 is probably the cheapest temp-tag of any state and you will be able to drive your car immediately and legally. In Michigan, all cars sold over 10 years old are marked as mileage exempt in accordance with Federal law. Basically, this means that the State stops keeping track of mileage on older cars, however Autocheck still does track the mileage and this vehicle is not known to have any mileage inaccuracies or discrepancies.
