Vehicle Detail

I bought this bike last year from the original owner, who had not ridden it since a hip injury in 2006. It was stored properly and brought back into service carefully. I rode it a few times, and then went to park it one day and my hip went out, causing me to drop it so that the fairing hit another vehicle and bent just enough to crack the instrument panel lens plastic. I think that probably means I don't need a bike anymore. I replaced the front right turn signal stem, which had been broken sometime during the storage years, with an aftermarket one. You will want to do the same with the front left, as it is broken now also; held on with Gorilla Tape for photos. Other than these, no major defects that I know of--just a few minor dings and light scratches, most of which seem to be from where the tank bag rubbed right in front of the seat. Some scratches on front fender. A few scratches on grab rail that I forgot to photo up close-- probably from bungee cords. I tried to get the best possible pictures of any imperfections, and most of what shows up is actually dust, not scratches--it hasn't been washed or rained on in almost a decade. I think the two little chips on the top left of the gas tank are the worst paint damage. Bike has always been kept inside except when the previous owner would take it on overnight trips.Fuel gauge is not reliable.Rear tire has a very slow leak; I'm not sure where but suspect valve. The last time I changed the oil, I found a slightly smaller filter with the same specs as the recommended oil filter, so I used that to save myself the frustration of trying to wedge the filter between the pipes. It has not actually been ridden with this filter, so don’t freak out if you are an original-recommended-parts-purist; I just wanted to have the oil changed and ready for the new owner and wasn’t willing to go through the hassle again. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, read up on oil changes on this bike. Comes with three bags as pictured. Bike is located in Knoxville, TN-- You can be on Hwy. 129 riding The Dragon an hour or less after you sign the papers. Must be picked up by July 4 unless special arrangements are made with seller before close of auction. Cash/Cashiers CheckOn Jun-22-15 at 05:29:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Someone asked about what looks like a dent in the side of the tank-- that is a reflection. The small white specks are dust. On Jun-23-15 at 10:33:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Okay, I woke up the squirrels in my 486SX, and I think I managed to post a youtube video. Two hours later, it still says it is processing, and will eventually be available at: http://youtu.be/3urLB6hCQOc or you can try: http://youtu.be/z1nZHCaVPJ4 I think that one works
