Up for auction is a documented 1969 Pontiac GTO. The car was originally sold new at Lucas Fredlake Pontiac in Joseph, MO. At some point in the car was relocated to the Las Vegas area which is where the car was purchased prior to restoration. Being a desert car the car did not have the typical rust issues one would find in a car from the Midwest. The car is a 400/4speed. PHS documented low option car!. The options were only posi rear end (Safe-T-Track), head restraints, radio, 4 speed transmission hideaway headlights (worked before paint job now don't...vacuum leak?) and spoiler, tinted glass, floor mats (we do not have them), Radio (we do not have it) and no other options. No power brakes or steering. Less than 100 miles on the car since restoration about 7 years ago. No rot or rust. New sheet metal where necessary (front fenders were beat up…previous owner had trouble parking it in the garage). Professional paint job, not a hacked up pieced together pile painted in the back yard. Was originally a mint green color when new now silver. Original black interior, fair condition not beat up but could be freshened up, faded here and there. There is small slit in one of the seats. It has new tires. Priorities change and that is why the car is up for sale. It deserves to be driven and enjoyed. -We were told the engine, transmission, and rear end rebuilt by previous owner (we have no paperwork to back it up). -Brake system suspension all new from previous owner -New 2 1/2" Flowmaster exhaust system -All original stainless was removed, straightened, polished -Bumper re-chromed -54,xxx original miles (again no paperwork but this what the previous owner claimed and all indications we observed lead us to believe he was accurate. You are welcome to inspect the car yourself). -Many other new parts (windshield, threshold plates, carpet headliner, package tray) -Undercarriage is painted -400...Muncie 4-speed, Hurst shifter -Yes, numbers match -Has Edelbrock torker 2 intake manifold and Holley carb -No fluid leaks -Trunk needs splatter paint -Minor 2" cut in back of seat, drivers side -No radio -PHS documented-I can fax a copy of the build sheet to you if you are interested. -Real 242 car -Gas gauge and e brake not working -Heater Core bypassed (new heater core in the trunk) This car is not for the timid, shy or anyone on the lamb. You will get noticed, thumbs up and many folks who will want to chat and relive the old days. I am posting this car for a friend who is computer challenged. This is not my car. I encourage you inspect the vehicle prior to placing a bid. We did our best to describe the car to the accurately. It is very important to keep in mind that this vehicle is pre-owned, not brand new. We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. - The car may be demonstrated and/or test-driven on a daily basis and therefore may have more mileage upon delivery than indicated in original listings. - Purchaser will be responsible sales tax, and vehicle registration costs. All taxes and license fees will need to be paid by the buyer when the vehicle is registered in their home state. All state taxes and motor vehicle-related fees are administered by each state individually, are not included in the price of the vehicle, and are non-negotiable. - - We will not "hold" the GTO without a signed non-refundable deposit and a signed bill of sale. Without this deposit, all vehicles will remain advertised, listed, and available for sale. - At Close of Auction The successful "winning" bidder must contact us within 24 hours after the auction has ended to verify purchase and make arrangements to complete the transaction. A non refundable $500.00 deposit will be required to be received within 24 hours of the auction close. Payment of the deposit will be subject to the terms set forth below. Full payment must be received within 5 business days of the end of auction. Payment must be either by CASH, cashiers-check, wire transfer or certified funds. You can pay by PAYPAL if you cover the cost of the service fees. The car will not leave the driveway and the title will not be transferred until all funds have cleared the bank. If funds are not received, and an alternate arrangement has not been made, the vehicle can and will be made available to other potential buyers on a first-come, first-serve basis. The parties agree that this contract shall be construed under the substantive laws of the state of Illinois, that the state courts of Illinois shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any action brought to enforce the terms of this contract or over any action arising out of the underlying transaction(s) with seller and venue may be had in the McHenry county court of the state of Illinois. We have disclosed as much information as possible about this vehicle. However, we recommend that all buyers conduct an inspection either in person or through a qualified professional third party inspector prior to the end of the auction. If such inspection reveals a substantial discrepancy between the information contained in the listing and the actual vehicle, we will correct the problem at no charge or work out a compromise. Shipping We will assist with shipping arrangements however, the buyer pays all shipping costs. We do not have any affiliation with, or interest in, any transportation companies and all questions or concerns should be addressed directly with them.
