This 30 year old machine runs fantastic. Everything on it works including the electric start, lights front and rear. The pull rope or electric start will either one start it. I just put a new AGM battery, wrist pin bearing, head gasket, piston, rings and tested unit to make sure there were compression leak downs. The unit needs a new belt put on due to the previous owner not putting on the correct sized belt. It squeals when throttle is given because of it. This machine runs very well. If you are looking for a show room piece, this is NOT IT. But if you are looking for a machine to restore or just to ride, this is your machine. I bought this with the intentions of totally restoring it. I got as far as pulling the engine, rebuilding it and then my job is not allowing me further time for this project that I wanted to complete. I travel internationally every week for the DOD and I just simply will not have time for this project and I don't want it to get nasty from just sitting. I will not be able to get into this machine again until at the earliest mid 2016 due to a contract I am working. So I will find another one of these when the time is right.
