For sale 1993 400SEL Excellent conditionAbout the car- Some rich person donated it. It wasn't running well and they must have figured it would be expensive to fix.I bought it with the intent to keep, and educated myself about the car and found out that the fuel injection wiring has substandard insulation on all models from 93 to 96.It ran great with a new upgraded harnesss installed .I also replaced the following:Both fuel pumps- oe bosch Due to Mercedes recommendation of changing every ten yearsfuel filter- mahleoil and filter mobil one and mahlemercedes thermostat and mercedes coolantmercedes transmission filter and royal purple fluid drained entire system including torque converter.cap and rotors bosch bosch 02 sensoroe front rotors and padsIt runs great -its barely broken in.Interior is tan and very nice.The gas door area has some paint issues from spillage-have not tried to buff it out.good tires,pioneer stereo with ipod.This car is an absolute joy to drive. It is by far the most well made quality car on ebay for under 6 ,7 or even 10 grand. Great deal! just try to find an older S Class with low mileage that has been completely gone through my an ASE master tech. Why am I selling it? My wife says its a grandpa car and doesn't like it. I think it looks sophisticated and elegant.So she bought me an AMG coupe and now I need to sell this.The front has a minor dent in the very front of the fender and the front bumper needs to be repainted due to some scuffing.Air conditioning is 134 and blows cold. They truly do not make them like this anymore.Come and drive this car. You will be impressed. The owner of our dealer had one of these that cost 100k new.He drove it for 15 years and then bought a 2006 S class. After a week he went back to his 94 . It is just so solid and well made. Mercedes spent 1 billion dollars designing this car. This was THE car to have in the nineties if you were wealthy.Driven daily. Car runs like new and will last 300k plus miles. Registered til June. Smogged May 22 and the numbers were unbelievably clean. The v-8 is a small 4.2. Gets better mileage than you would think but has a lot of power.
