Up for your bidding pleasure is your opportunity to own one of the most collectible pickups... A 1955 GMC V-8 Hydramatic Big Back Glass. Truck runs and drives but tires are very very old so no highway driving yet! HERE'S THE OPTIONS ON THIS CLASSIC: Tu Tone Paint, big back window, deluxe cab trim, original Pontiac V-8, hydramatic automatic trans. Factory heater-defrost, arm rest, duel sun-visors, emerg brake w/ glass jewel warning light (works), s/w tach, Factory column mounted blinkers, ash tray, radio speaker, electric wipers(working). THESE ITEMS ARE STILL WORKING: blinkers and indicator light, headlights, wipers, Gauges fuel, amperes, oil pressures (holds at 30 lbs at idle for 30 min.) Speedometer , odom.work. emerg brake &light, doors both lock and unlock with ignition key, windows roll up & down, wind-wings open .ORIGINAL TO TRUCK !! Interior paint, gauges, ashtray, steering wheel and horn button (checkout the original patina)arm rest with orig.cover, orig factory seat covering, visors drivers side still has its orig. cover, exterior paint including firewall paint & factory assembly line markings, wheels, horn, motor, trans, radiator dated 55 H..... All original glass L.O.F. Dated ! New: Brakes, u joints, hubcaps. Rear shocks are off, bed wood has been removed, tires dry rotted but hold air w/slow leaks and are not road worthy. I drove around the block 3 times to make sure the trans went forward & reverse . The brakes are newly rebuilt and work very well, speedo seemed to work smoothly. Then I let truck set and idle for 30 min.( runs quite and very smooth fires up just as soon as the key is turned) with no overheating, no coolant or trans. leaks, but oil dripped from filter housing( poss. a gasket) on to exhaust pipe. Heater looks to be restored. windshield is cracked and has a few bulls-eyes but usable if need be. Comes with the goodies in bed, See photos. Notice the seat and gas tank have been removed so you can see how solid the floors are in this pickup. I took some lacquer thinner on a rag where someone spray canned floor black so you can see the original factory green paint on floor, see photos. Also the hub caps are new ($300.00) and GMC correct and the wide white walls are porta-walls can be put on the next set of tires this truck gets COOL.
