1981 Corvette C3 350 Vortec/5 Speed, Restored interior, Updated suspension, L88 Hood Hello! Up for auction is this clean black Corvette that you can start enjoying the day that you buy it. Late model 350 Vortec engine and 5 speed transmission work very well w/ the new 3.73 rear gears! This is a cool cruiser; low to the ground, cracklin’ headers and Flowmaster exhaust sounds! The pictures show the restored Camel color interior- New Seat covers, carpeting, door panels, trim, and updated console for the 5 speed shifter. You may notice the clear plastic carpet guards at the door threshold areas- clean! Functional power windows, power door locks, power seats (both sides), power mirrors, and the optional factory oil temp gauge that replaced a clock. Also has Stereo w/ CD and upgraded speakers front and rear. The steering wheel is a nice wood grain; looks red due to camera flash. The engine has a curved Accel HE Ignition, Hooker Jet Coated headers, Holley 600 Vac and GM Vortec Intake. All else is stock and it idles smoothly @ 900 RPM w/ good vacuum for the HVAC. This Corvette also has security fuel and ignition disable systems installed. All Brake Calipers, Rotors, Lines, Hoses, and Master Cylinder are 2 yrs. old (used 60 miles).The rear suspension was updated w/ rebuilt posi diff, bushings, new Bilstein shocks, lowering kit, parking brake components, and better U-Joints. The steering is MANUAL. I removed the power steering (totally) for improved handling feel. It now has a drag link from an earlier 454 C3 car. I installed a good 16:1 Flaming River Steering box. Also, the Tilt/ Telescopic Steering column was rebuilt including new turn sig/ flasher switch. The front suspension awaits your hobby time! I am including rebuilt A-Arms (using the best Moog parts), new Bilstein shocks, sway bar bushings and links (above not installed). See pics! This Vette has factory A/C, although not currently functioning. Certain parts await installation. I am including a new Condensor Coil, new R134 Compressor and original brackets, Hose Line Kit, AC Screen Filter and coolant routing tube (above not installed). See pics! Your additional parts and Freon will be required to complete. I presume the black paint is original. Please understand that this is a 34 year old car. It is not perfect, it is not a “numbers matching” car, and it is intended to be a driver. The new hood was painted last year. The hood does fit well; it is not fully closed in the pictures. Front nose has a new front air dam rubber lip. Wheels are originals in very good shape. Goodyear Eagle 225-70/ 15 Tires look period correct, and handle best @ 28 PSI front/ 24 PSI rear.
