Vehicle Detail
1970 Plymouth Roadrunner, 2 dr Hdtp. VIN RM23N0A1854XX. I purchased the car in 1985 (yellow in color), painted it Torr red (needed body work around rear wheel well lips) drove it sporadically for three 3 years, and parked it in 1988. Originally a 383 car, and I believe originally an exterior black with a stripe delete. I purchased it with a ’69 440, 906 heads. I believe the bench seat pistol grip 4-speed trans, with 8 ¾ 3.23 posi rear are original to the car. The motor was rebuilt 1985, with cylinders bored out, new pistons, cylinder heads with new valves, springs, and guides. Hydraulic cam, similar to a 440 magnum cam. Has rare original Air Grabber hood (not original to car) and single 4 air cleaner base, and rare rear deck spoiler I think original to car. Bottom edge of doors are solid. I lost the trunk key, but trunk floor was solid when I had looked at it 25 years ago. Has 1969 charger bucket seats in it. Tic Toc tach. Was running when parked in 1988. I hooked up a battery, won’t click, or make any sounds. I think the mice/chipmunks destroyed the wiring (nut shells on intake). Magnum 500 wheels. I had sent the shifter back to hurst in 1986 or so, and they rebuilt it. Car obviously needs work, a lot. Nice project car. Car has to be sold to make room. I want it out of here. ****Viewing available on any weekday, business hours, and on Sunday, May 10th, 9am to noon, and other times may be available but have to be scheduled in advance. Address can be sent to interested individuals. Prior to painting the car red, I installed a new left front fender (1986). There was bondo and patch panels around the rear wheel lips and I possibly the rear lower panels behind the rear wheels. The trunk was solid when I purchased it, and did not require any repair, as was the floor boards. The car sat outside after 1988 for 15 years, and has been stored indoor since. The frame was solid and has never needed any repairs. No accidents that I am aware of, as all the sheet metal and frame assembly showed no damage. There is some surface rust now on some of the exterior rear window seals, but not through, and no repairs ever around the windows. There is some rust now on the driver front fender, lower part behind the tire. The upper front part of the front fenders are solid. Someone asked about the rear tail light assemblies. They’re in the car, painted black, as I liked the look.On May-07-15 at 11:01:35 PDT, seller added the following information: CORRECTION*** Prior to painting the car red, I installed a new right front fender in 1986.On May-09-15 at 18:13:31 PDT, seller added the following information: **NO WIRE TRANSFERS.
