2007 Subaru Forester is a rust free, AWD, one owner Colorado car since new and offered at NO RESERVE. The original engine was professionally replaced when the car had 108,000 miles on it. The correct 2007 replacement engine had 43,000 miles when it was installed. The car now has 181,000 miles, meaning the replacement engine has a total of 116,000 miles on it. Our mechanic just replaced the timing belt last week, which means that the car is good to go for about another 100,000 miles. Subaru timing belts must be replaced at about every 100,000 miles – That’s about $600 or more at the dealer. This car has a 5-speed manual transmission, with a recent clutch replacement, and gets about 28 mpg on the hiway. This engine runs strong, with no funny noises, as with the tranny. Subaru’s have a “hill holder” feature for those with manual transmissions, and this one works as it should, here in the foothills of the Rockies. The car has the original AM/FM radio and 6-disc changer CD with an MP3 player aux port. There is an aftermarket luggage rack. A/C blows cold, the heater is good, the tires are good, the glass is good, except the windshield is cracked in a place which is out of direct view of the driver. The car has never been wrecked, but has a few small scratches and dings. Overall, it is very presentable and has been a good car for us, but now it’s time to move on and let the new owner enjoy it.
