Vehicle Detail

This 750 IL is in decent condition for its age. The engine starts first time and runs smoothly. I have done a lot of work on this car in the past six months. The following have been replaced: 1. Upper and lower control arms for the front suspension. Used Meyle brand.2. Fan clutch3. Rear suspension stabilizer links. Used Meyle brand.4. Brake master cylinder.5. Radiator.6. Four new tires. (less than 200 miles on them)7. Air filters8. Water Pump (German made with steel impeller)9. Battery The car runs very smoothly and tracks well for its age. There is a little vagueness in the steering that the new suspension parts did not bring back to new car standard, but not bad for a car of this age. Power steering, works fine. Brakes also work well, but to get the instant response of a new car, a new brake "bomb" will be needed. The "bomb" has the effect of preloading the brake hydraulic pressure. Go on any BMW E32 site and you can read about it. I am pointing out issues that people that haven't worked on these cars may not mention in their descriptions. The one issue which the buyer must consider is that when I replaced the water pump, certain o-rings that seal two solid coolant lines that go to the back of the engine did not seal properly. On an E32 forum someone suggested using a product called K-Seal. The poster indicated that it solved the o-ring leak problem for him over time, a few weeks of driving. I tried it, and though the leak is reduced tremendously, there is still a slight drip when the system is pressurized, it doesn't leak when the engine is off. The leak may actually disappear, over time, but I can't guarantee it. The proper fix is to remove and reinstall the water pump (it is new) with another set of o-rings. It is a fairly difficult and physically demanding job, and I am not doing it again, hence the low starting price. There is a complete description of the job on line just google "E32 water pump replacement". The coolant temperature is perfect with the needle sitting in the middle as it should, as long as the coolant level is maintained at the proper level. Cosmetically the exterior is average. The paint shows its age but the car is presentable, see the photos where I have taken close ups of the trouble spots. The interior is not bad at all except for some headliner sag at the rear. All the power seats, front and back, work. The power headrests also work. All the power windows and the sunroof work. The power locks work except for the driver door lock which has gotten weak and does not always unlock completely. The passenger side power mirror does not work. There is a full size spare and the factory tool kit has about half the tools in it plus the OEM safety triangle. The complete driver's manual/documentation and leather pouch is included. All the lights work, although when the headlights are turned, after a few minutes the 'Mustard Relay" causes the display to show 2 lights are out, when they are not actually out. This is a common problem, google BMW E32 "mustard relay" and you will get the whole story. The window washers work but the high pressure headlight washers were blocked off because they leaked. The transmission shifts fairly smoothly and does not slip. The car has a modern Sony CD player playing through two rear speakers. The car includes the OEM cassette player/player with the Code, but I am not sure if the OEM cassette player/radio works. All the On-Board Computer functions work, MPG, Ambient Temp, Time, Date etc. The A/C does not work. It is R-12 and will have to be converted to R-134 in any case. The heater/fan works. The passenger side temp control light does not work but all the other dash lights work as far as I can tell. I have tried to be as complete in my description as possible, but the car is sold as is with no warranty whatsoever. Here is a video of the car on a short drive:
